This Is Bigger Than Me! Byron Allen Deconstructs His SCOTUS Case & $20B Lawsuit Against Comcast

Byron Allen's racial discrimination case against Comcast came before the Supreme Court on Wednesday.
At issue is whether Allen's $20 billion lawsuit should have survived beyond the pleading stage by merely proving that his race was a "motivating factor" in Comcast's decision to deny carriage of his company's channels.
The Ninth Circuit ruled in favor of Allen last year, and some of the justices found fault with the lower court's reasoning.
Allen, CEO of Entertainment Studios joined Roland Martin in studio to discuss his $20 billion suit against Comcast and the Supreme Court hearing where he presented his case against the cable giant.

John Smith I’m guessing here, but until they (meaning Comcast) are broken up, they exclusively own the rights to the space. That’s why Presidential candidates like Elizabeth Warren are talking about it. Comcast bought those rights. I’m sure Byron can afford his own cable company. Maybe one day he will. But as long as Comcast owns the monopoly, this is our only option.

Your truth is powerful. Its too bad that Black men like Byron Allen never share their wealth and love with a Black woman. With the game being so rigged against African Americans, one would think Black men would have more appreciation for their shared struggle with Black women, but nope they don't. Byron Allen shares his $400 million dollar empire with a White woman and their biracial children. I can't help but think what an insult this is to their ancestors especially the women who died not knowing that they were worthy.

Cancelling is one step in the right direction but people should investigate everything this parasitic cable monster is involved in monopolistic and simply # Boycott them all and instead support Mr Bryon Allen. He is an excellent master class Economics, trade, acquisition and business ownership teacher. The Puff Daddy's, Magic Johnson and Al Sharpton are just window dressing Black uncle Tom's mannequins but can't open their mouths to speak clearly on strategy legalize and in detail how capitalistic and monopolistic corporate America works in a parasitic strategic business ownership, acquisitions and domination by buying for cheap, controlling and shutting down Black entrepreneurship competition.

I remember being on a call with a Comcast agent 2 years ago who went over all of the specials and discount packages that they were advertising at the time. I asked the agent which channels were included? She explained that bravo, vh1, msnbc, lifetime, HBO, Showtime...etc were included in these $79.00 packages, so I asked her, what about Own, centric, tv one.. etc? She replied, "Oh, those channels are ONLY available with our premium packages" then asked if I'd like to hear about the Premium bundle? I said yes, she then said that the Premium packages started at $149.00 + taxes & fees that totaled to around $212.00 a month, I instantly became very disgusted, and started fussing about the targeted corruption of Comcast toward black people and how I wanted to discontinue my conversation with them! She said she understood my concerns, but would i like to purchase the Premium bundle? I said Heck naw, (Click)! THEY CHARGE US Black folks more for our stations than everyone else, and that is why we are the largest consumers to their stinking cable service! I hope they do get shut down for good!

TheCut2009 You’re right. OWN was struggling, because initially Oprah tried to cater her channel to the white, suburban women who watched her show. I like you thinking, your heart is in the right place. We must not riot, if we riot, let's riot with the pen in writing. Byron Allen let's us know we have to use Our Civil Rights, that's the message, We can be so powerful if you get the Civil Rights Acts of the 1800's and the 1964 Civil Rights Act. Then we'll learn what we kept from us. This way we learn what our Right really are, and use them to the fullest of the exstent of the law against anyone who discriminates against us. That's a War they're not expecting, us using the pen as our weapons of choice. The mind is a terrible muscle to lose.
