There's something weird that I don't really understand. I'm a fan of a lot of other artists whether it's Western or Korean or Chinese or Latin and when people say they don't like them, I'm kinda disappointed but it doesn't hurt at all, it feels alright. But when someone tells something bad about BTS, it hurts deeply. I don't even talk back or get mad, but it just really hurts and I don't understand why ! Why can't I be indifferent about them just as I am for the other artists I love ? 😂😭 Send help

It might be because BTS music hold much deeper meaning to you compare to others, you may hold closer to you and your heart, the music BTS create had helps you in many ways... for you to feel hurts more when people says they don't like BTS is like a small cut on your skin, like a paper cut. *shrugs*

They made it on TIME twice. Including Las Year. They proclaimed them as The biggest Pop band in the world. Pop. Wall Street Journal named them music innovators. Esquire did a special. They were everywhere.

And BTS aren't gods or anything lol. They've definitely made a lot of mistakes (especially in their teen years), but their growth and genuine concern for people is really rare to see and is something that makes them pretty respectable. When it comes to celebrities, BTS are probably one of the least problematic right now, especially due to all the celebs showing their true lack of empathy for people’s well being and being dismissive of the pandemic. The only problems people usually have with bts are their fans being annoying on twitter or the way they dress/present themselves (being to flamboyant or "feminine" looking)

The fashion thing is more in the narrow-minded West like here, in the U.S., mostly older people..Younger people are more open, but things are slooowly changing..Also, any mistakes they've made re: 1) Lyrics would be a non-issue in the West, where cursing's a norm, also other fandom Antis brought these to feminists' attention re: wording (I'm glad they learned from it, tho) 2) Any inappropriate things they may have said thoughtlessly, when young (oh no), are just highlighted cuz they're in the public's eye vs all teens out there 3) As Namjoon, since a child, always jotted down ideas/words/sentences he read/heard + used in poems/writings (b4 getting into rap lyrics at 11), he learned the hard way to check/give credit, part of growing process + he apologized (which wouldn't happen in the West) + is more careful, but none of these things were >: caught w/drugs, drunk hit +runs, knocking up a hooker, caught shoplifting, drunk wilding at orgies, stolen from companies, abused their parents, etc, etc, so: "they've made many mistales" is pretty small in the big picture of things..

They haven't done anything illegal and the mistakes they have done were when they were kids and they acknowledged them, corrected them, and moved forward. I think most of the things that they did in the past probably came as an urge to be accepted in the hip hop scene in Korea. After following BTS for some time, I've been introduced to many other underground Korean hip hop artists and seen how these artists interpret the culture of hip hop. For example, during their one year anniversery conference (the one with B-Free) the artists there all pushed this idea that if you are doing hip hop, you need to be be manly and that being soft or gay like is weak (which is 100% bull, but could have affected how Namjoon wrote his lyrics back then). That's just one example, but the other things could have also stemmed from this feeling of exclusion and needing to prove that they were the real deal etc.

I think you might enjoy their show, Run:BTS (it's on a free app called Vlive). It's just a super lighthearted comedy show that they created after being shunned off of Korean reality tv. It'll help you recognize each member very quickly as well and it's probably the most hilarious shit I've ever watched

TIME Magazine not only put them on the cover but also had 7 special edition versions with each member individually on the cover. ...basically as collector’s items for fans. Even TIME knows how to ride that wave and make money 😂 When BTS went on the Graham Norton show as the musical act all the other celebrities being interview were very lost and confused and obviously didn’t know who they were. But when Graham showed the TIME cover and asked who else had been on cover 😂😂😂 it was literally so great. Whoopi Goldberg was ther and was like “I’ve been in it, but I haven’t been on it”

In all my years of listening to music, reading lyrics and watching videos, I've never gravitated towards a group or soloist the way I do with BTS. I'm thinking about which song to recommend and I can't decide 🤣 If you want to get to know them individually, I recommend Who is BTS: The seven members of Bangtan or the history of BTS The most beautiful life goes on. Also, Jungkook doesn't know autotune is a good video. And Jimin solo dance compilation by Elin (you absolutely need to watch that after being so misinformed, Jimin is a naturally talented dancer, it makes me want to dance too, just watching him, he's super versatile too, he'sso beautiful to watch when he's dancing). Songs: Interlude: Shadow, Serendipity (live stage mix is great too), Crystal Snow, Epiphany, Singularity. Mono is a masterpiece. No one can change my mind. That's RM's mistape and Suga's D-2 is amazing as well, I personally like it more than the first one. Oh god, there's SO much stuff to recommend. It's hard to choose. If you want funny videos: BTS aren't clowns, they're the entire circus, BTS in quarantine, BTS + drugs = this video. That would be it for today's recommendation, sorry for it being so long. 🤣🤣

@@Ana-id6uk for one,the thing that hobi failed auditions at JYP (he never even auditioned for JYP, he was simply there for a dance competition with his crew) and just the fact that throughout the video he implies that early bts wasn't successful (they were successful even back then, the media and industry just downplayed/hid their achievements) and in the beginning he also implies BTS' entire career is thanks to YG + also makes it seem like jimin didn't have to work hard for his spot in BTS

It’s a tiny bit outdated (it’s from 2018) but I think “Who are BTS: The Seven Members of Bangtan” does the best job at introducing the members one by one, their individual backgrounds, talents, personalities, and contributions to the group. That’s the kind of stuff you haven’t seen yet in all of the guide videos you’ve reacted to thus far, so I think it’d be worth checking that one out now. Keep up the great work!
