@tomwilshaw3 ай бұрын
Cheers John :) There's lots of great anglers that have got to where they are because they're intensely selfish, focussing solely on their own goals and pursuing them in solitude.. and whilst that's absolutely fine, admirable sometimes.. that isn't Carl. He's a skilled angler, but a friend first, chasing awesome shared memories - he's a top notch dude :)

Loved the video Tom. It was really nice to see you and your buddy (Carl) together again👍 By the way, I always appreciate your humor - I think the funniest part of the video (at around 16:07), was when you asked Carl “do you always walk like that”, and Carl responded “No”! and you followed up with “you should”! Pure comedic gold😂😂😂 I’m still chuckling as I write this write this🤣 Keep up the great work!!! - Joe (from the US)

If I can make someone who doesn’t like carp enjoy one of my carp fishing videos, I reckon I must be doing something right 😂 you’re way too kind mate, love your logo by the way!
@rippinglipsadventures3 ай бұрын
@@tomwilshaw Thanks! I've had it for a while now. Made the logo myself. My brother was a graphic artist at a sign company, so maybe it's in my blood a little, ha, ha. Yeah, those carp are bigtime fighters though. That was the best hookup I've ever experienced in my fishing adventures and can be seen on my trailer (maybe as a standout hookup). However, we are in walleye country here and they eat a lot better than carp, which I've never tried. We also have a lot of small mouth bass and northern pike. Next month, I have a planned trip to attempt to catch the only zander in North America at a lake a few hundred miles from me. Looking forward to it. Do you have much for zander around you there in the UK? Again, splendid work all the way around. You might have to make a "how-the-heck-do-think-about-all-those-shots" films for guys like me to wrap my head around all the storytelling elements involved in your productions. I can only imagine a lot of pre-production, storyboards, mood boards, and scripted efforts along with the extreme categorization of old and previous footage on massive raid systems. Ha!
@tomwilshaw3 ай бұрын
Oh the terabytes of footage I have lying on my desk is insanity! A raid system is the dream, get it all organised one day 😅😅 I’m desperate to get out the states one day to catch some more predator species, one of my favourite channels is Marlin Baits - love watching him catch walleye and smallies, looks like so much fun! We have a few flowing waters in the country that hold Zander, but it’s nothing like Europe - I’ve seen some real monsters come out of Holland for example! Haha, I’ll have to do something like that one day, a bit of a behind the scenes :-)

i am always fishing for frequency, i count it as a small loss if i get nothing or just 2-3 carps. I do fish for 7 pounds + and i count a 7pound as a good catch. I might try fishing bigger only like 30+ only. Probably for those sessions is worth going on a 2 nights or more trip, on the water bank.
