All these people saying $180 isn't cheap and others saying aware AI normally costs thousands. An actually aware robot would cost hundreds of thousands if you're being optimistic. Try looking at Home Exploring Robotic Butler (HERB). It cost hundreds of thousands to make and it's still not ready for practical use. The ability to simulate emotions and learning to an extent (Granted, I don't know what extent as I haven't used it before) in hardware that can be sold for $180 is ridiculously impressive.
