The chewed up point Brad found at about 12:00 is a Lecroy point! It’s one of the older types in your area, being about 7,800-8,500 years old. One of my favorite kinds!!! ✌️

I go arrow head hunting here in SoCal with my son and buddies, they are next to impossible to find, most of the arrow heads we find are black obsidian. Much harder to find then coins since you can't detect them. But the way you were finding them and the quantity and quality, unbelievable, not to mention the coins you guys found, big Congrats.

Hi my name James stagner I love metal detecting I've been doing it for years but my detector died on me last year I've got MS but I don't let that Slow Me Down I'd love to have a metal detector like y'all have I just can't manage to get it happy Hunting and y'all do a great job I'd love to mail with it where y'all married at and find rare stuff like y'all do.
@dr.floridaman48052 жыл бұрын
@@PeterOkeefe54 in Florida a fossil permit is needed for anything other than fish and mollusk. When found they want it reported to add to their database. They very rarely ask for the specimen. The truth is this history is all of ours. Having a good report to pour over is great for research. While you might lay claim to the material object all we want is the data to fill in historical gaps.
@PeterOkeefe542 жыл бұрын
@@dr.floridaman4805 A permit is a request for permission to do something that would otherwise be illegal. My trust in ANYTHING involving government is gone. So your saying you can be put in a cage without proper permission?? you okay with that? Before you brand me "anti government" I served. 3Rd CAG USMC 70-71..now as an old man?? I know better.

So insanely jealous in the best way possible. I'm over here in Illinois hunting the creeks each week. Lots of flake this year and busted point remains, but only one whole arrowhead literally all summer. Last summer I found seven which was my best run in 13 years. Killer finds, gentlemen. Congrats.

Wow! What a day fellas!! Unbelievable diversity of cool stuff!! I love how each one of you seems to like arrowheads more than the rest of the finds…and I don’t blame you! I started off detecting and found a few points weeks into my search and literally lost my detector, never to look back. The black broken point is a lecroy, a middle archaic find and bad ass. I can actually pinpoint where you fellas are across the US bc of what rock the points are made from. Of course, I’ll keep that to myself and thx for saving a few that I couldn’t!! Great video!!!

I get the feeling you will be revisiting that area on regular occasions, it would be hard not to. With all the arrow heads there, is it possible that it was once a campsite that the river has gradually moved across over the centuries, incredible hunt! and as always I enjoyed being able to witness it! Thanks! and Cheers!
