It isn't that Tom couldn't get on his meaningful lyricism level, it's that he chose not to intentionally to allow Dax to have the most important verse of the song, because the message being delivered from Dax would have far greater impact than Tom. Many people wouldn't hear it if the words came from Tom's mouth.

Why does everyone keep thinking Tom and Acal are just rapping having fun and missing the meanings their verses contribute? And that without each "white boy" giving visuals of 2 completely different "white" lifestyles and personalities, Dax's verse wouldnt have hit as hard. The first 2 verses were set up so that Dax could ne the homerun hitter purposefully. "Thіs iѕ a democratiс libеrated conservative pаtrіarchy dipped-in-action affirmatіvе hit sоng" is Dax's line... Tom leans more democratic liberated, Acal is conservative patriarchy, Dax is "affirmative action". In order for Dax's verse to be as hard hitting, we needed the first two exactly as they were.

I think that was the entire point. Tom and ACal deliver hype tracks about white boys then Dax cleans up with the message. They all knew that many would turn a deaf ear had Tom or ACal delivered the punchline, but would open their minds to the message with it coming from Dax.

They weren’t competing against one another. The purpose and message of this collaboration was to show unity, IMHO. Tom, Adam and Dax are all phenomenal rappers. Tom and Adam’s lyrics/bars told an exaggerated view about white people from black peoples’ perspective and vice versa with Dax. Dax’s part also included bringing the message full circle. He was the one “spittin” the powerful message of unity that all three equally believe in and are passionate about. Dax, Tom and Adam collaborated to show their unity through this song. Respectfully, you are missing the whole point of the song to say one of them owns the song over the others. It was planned to play out like it did, which was brilliant! Dax’s expressions were killer, and the way he was rubbing his hands together in the background while Adam was rapping, and those outfits!😂😂😂

#HOG in the house. Glad to see that smile back on your face. ONE of the things that endears me to Tom when he does collab albums, is he doesn't have an ego problem, that is displayed where he has a feature artist/friend, he allows them to shine beyond himself. Examples are Bad News, In God We Trust, End Of The World and Fire Emojis. This album with the drops so far, and it appears this time it was Adam who asked Tom if he wanted to do this, that they are very intentional in messages, and they are going as Tom said in Boom Bap 101...they going glory hole which is balls to the wall!

That's what was cool about The Brave; each of the features arguably anchored the song. They didn't just slap a verse onto the beat and call it good. They let Madchild shine in Fire Emojis, same with Struggle in God We Trust. Tom killed it in Smoke and Adam's punchline verse was hilarious but Nova really stood out. When Tom announced he was coming out with a collab album and their first video would be that Friday, he was asking people who they thought the album was with. Seriously my first thought was 'well it's definitely not Adam Calhoun' lol. And when they announced it I was excited but didn't know what to expect because their styles are so different. And when they released New World Order I was like 'yup, I see it now.' Ha and now they're like the odd couple. Novas reaction to American Flags w them 2 was freaking hilarious. Simba the mad scientist, planting seeds and watching his master plan unfold.

Funny how people are always asking Tom why he doesn't do more collabs and features and then he does and a bunch of reactors use the title "It's Dax's song now!" after Tom did everything for the song and video except write Adam and Dax's verses. Tom's beat, flow switches, rhyme schemes and hook were fire. He doesn't get nearly enough credit for his talent. Adam and Dax went hard, too, but Tom took it for me.
