The DEI hires and the H1-B visa issues wouldn’t be an issue if American kids were taught the basics right along with enforcing the STEM classes so that we don’t consistently ship the “others” into our country to do the jobs that future children of America will be too dumb to do!

In the 80's, I was in the 10th grade. My ENGLISH teacher sent a note home to my mother that informed her that 'she don't be doing her homework'. My mother signed it and told me to let her know when the teacher speaks the English she should be able to speak in order to TEACH ENGLISH. I was moved to AP English not long after that. Public education has always been sick.

My wife and I also escaped from Illinois back in 2020. We purchased a cow pasture in Missouri East of Springfield about 30 miles... Well into the Amish community here. The home building, and getting power, water, and a septic system takes a few months, but when J.B. closed down Illinois we packed up and stayed in a motel until the house was finished. The taxes are simply unaffordable for anyone earning less than 100K a year in Illinois. My taxes went from 6,000 to 855 overnight! Before the house was completed, the pasture taxes were 11 dollars. I expect the senior citizens personal property taxes to go away soon! (IT DARN WELL SHOULD!)

Hey brother, blessings to you. We home school our son who is now 13. My wife does most of that while I do most of the work for income. It's basically costing half our family income to home school since my wife can't work and be a home maker/ teacher. Lot's of sacrifice, but well worth it in our opinion. As far as lowering standards for teachers, I think that's a very bad idea. We need to move education in the other direction, although it's not all about the teachers when it comes to that.
