This show was really fun. Everyone including me pretty much called this show a rip off of Harry Potter, but it did have some major differences to make it stand out. It has a lot of funny moments and memorable scenes. My favorite character was always Alex, since she’s so hilarious and relatable. In my opinion, it’s nice to revisit this show every once in a while.

What a coincidence cause I just started rewatching this show so I can get to Wizards Beyond Waverly Place. I'm now on season 3. Growing up I wasn't really a mystical fan despite of liking Harry Potter. The chocolate episode made my day. Justin is my favorite character since he's the smart one and cool in his own way. I have mixed feelings about Alex. I like her creative and rebellious side. She kind of annoyed me at times. Lastly I had a crush on Selena Gomez and called her my girlfriend. I was only 8 so cut me some slack.

So excited you're reacting to this, this was one of my favourite shows growing up, I even got my Dad to watch it, just so you know when it comes to the wizards of Waverly Place films, the first film is a bit tricky to figure out where it fits, but I'd say sort of in between seasons two and three if that helps, but someone else might know the specific episodes, a lot of things from the movie do not really continue on in the show all that much like there are some movie only things that happen, but Based on the ages of the characters etc I'd place it between season two and three. Also the last film comes after the end of the show so watch wizards of Waverly Place the movie in between season two and three and then watch Alex versus Alex after you finish the show but before you start wizards beyond Waverly Place, if you're gonna do that as well. I have seen a few episodes of wizards beyond Waverly Place I have mixed feelings on it, obviously you've got a long way to go before you get there because you have to watch all of wizards first, but just wanted to let you know where everyone else is at in terms of the show and, the show was so iconic that I got two films, it's very rare for a Disney Channel show to get a fourth season let alonea movie, not a lot of other Disney original shows did, and this one was so iconic it got to. So super excited to see you watch it.

My favorite characters were always the Dad (Jerry) and Justin too, but Alex (Selena Gomez) is really really funny if I remember correctly. Her and Justin basically make a Drake and Josh pair

About halfway through the series, (I’d say after season 2) you HAVE to watch the Wizards Of Waverly Place movie. It’s kinda canon to the series, but even so it’s still really good and you should definitely watch it before continuing to season 3.

I am currently still watching this show as of right now, i grew up with this show even though i was a bit younger when i saw this, this used to be on repeated ALOT back in the day when we had good old remote channels. As the seasons progress the spells and the story gets more progressive as the story goes on and there are more interesting characters as the season goes on. There just did a wizards beyond waverly place reboot with Alex and Justin as well, I suggest you check that out too, it’s really good.

Just like with a lot of Disney Channel shows the first season is completely out of order when it comes to a lot of episodes, the second episode with Justin's girlfriend actually comes after a different episode that happens later on in the season when Justin gets a pimple, I say this because his girlfriend is in both and they meet in the episode where he has a pimple and he wants to take her to the dance so I don't know why they're out of order butyou actually should've watched the episode before you watched the second episode so you should've watched episode one and then episode I think it's like seven or eight or something and then episode two and then you would've been fine after that I think, I don't know why a lot of shows have episodes out of order, it's not that big of a deal but when you get to the episode it will kind of be a bit confusing probably

Selena Gomez is amazing in this show and enjoyed her work as much as I know including Hotel Transylvania. I was recently watching this and tbh it holds up really well and I love the lines and sibling chemistry. The family hits the typical tropes but it works really well. They really don’t make Disney shows like this anymore and tbh I like it better than the wizards reboot and it’s really sad that the new show didn’t feel like it grew with the audience. And I actually laugh at the script in this show unlike in the newer shows and reboot where the humor is extremely forced through laugh tracks and is super corny.
