After her MEOVV member reveal teaser video was released, all of the members of Blackpink congratulated her on her debut.

I think the difference between baby monster and meovv is that baby monster is the first YG gg that wasn’t produced by Teddy (2ne1 and Blackpink was mainly produced by Teddy). So I feel like with Meovv being also produced and written by teddy, people would feel that Meovv is the sister girl group of Blackpink than Baby Monster is. Aside from that, I’m really invested in Meovv’s music discography and what’s coming in the future. I think they should’ve put out a single EP with another song (Kinda like IVE with their debut Eleven and Take It). I think another song that shows their vocals would make them trend.

Agree. I'm also invested in them. I never call myself a kpop stan. Don't know why but rather than BP I can't vibe with others. It's just that BP are my type (no disrespect to others). It's been almost 3 years with BP and I realize everyday I don't like the sound of kpop in general. Meow will really show each members the individual voices and reach as an artist and vocalist that you will really vibrate and enjoy, the girl who looks like Danielle do New Jeans is Ella Gross, she was a model and actress before To be a trainee, and she's the only one that people say they look like Jennie, her aura, her look, and the way she speaks are similar to Jennie. And she is also Blackpink's sister, she's close to Lisa, Rosé, Jisoo and Jennie. Jennie herself said that Ella is her daughter, because in a way they raised her, she was 10 years old when they met and became friends. If you get the two vs and come upside down, you will have cat ears… Brazilian funk at the end is my favorite part. Solid debut! The girls are beautiful and with powerful voices that will surprise a lot in another song with more singing time of each. I loved and wait.❤‍🔥👏👏

Meovv = meow on their name. If you connect two v. The black label first girl group. Subsidy agency of the parent company yg entertainment so they family with blackpink, 2ne1 , baby monster etcc. Okay so just to give you some info, Teddy actually only participated in writing the lyrics and helped with I think the arrangement, but he did not compose/produced the song. That was the other TBL producers, who may have also been former YG producers or maybe they are just new or strictly TBL producers. But I just want to make it clear that this was not a teddy produced song, he only wrote some lyrics and helped arranged it. As for the song itself, I’d say it is catchy and the girls did a great job with it. It is pretty solid, not a great song. But I see the potential in the girls and I’m excited to hear what else they will release next. I think this release is just an appetizer to be honest… it’s their introduction and they’ll show more when they drop more songs. As for a member who stood out to me, instantly it’s Sooin and Gawon.

@@joenull5945 right which validates what I said that Teddy did not compose/produced the song. I thought he helped with arrangement, but he only contributed in lyrics. Good to know and thanks for the info about the actual producers/composers of the song. I just wanted to make sure reactors know who actually composed/produced the song. A good majority of reactors kept saying it’s so TEDDY coded or a typical TEDDY song and I’m like..but Teddy did not produce the song though? Yeah MEOVV is Teddy’s own girl group and they are representing THE BLACK LABEL. They are not YGE..maybe only a subsidiary label aka sister label..but they are their own company. MEOVV have their own charm and talent that they only just introduced in this song…like I said this is just an introduction..I feel they will drop more songs this year that shows more of their talent.

Last several years, TheBlackLabel started working with European & American producers & songwriters to add more flavor to the company due the old complaint that Teddy is predictable and boring. Jeon Somi "Ice Cream" and MEOVV "Meow" is the result of those first time collaborations between TBL and those European & American producers & songwriters.

During 2022, TheBlackLabel completed their transition from being a subsidiary of YG Entertainment to being an affiliate at YG Entertainment. This meant that YG Entertainment no longer has overriding control over or unfettered access to TheBlackLabel. It has been revealed that while they were a subsidiary, YG Entertainment prohibited them from having idol trainees and controlled their artists comeback release schedules. Which is why after TheBlackLabel finalized their status as an affiliate; Teddy announced that he had been developing his own 5th gen girl group and TheBlackLabel confirmed that they had idol trainees that were previously signed on as models, actresses, and dancers. In addition, during 2023, every artist at TheBlackLabel got to release a comeback. @@SaGeForReal People just don't know that the core TBL producers Teddy, AND 24, AND R.Tee are responsible for the "Teddy" sound. 24 was the lead TBL producer on this track. It is still strange though that Teddy wasn't a producer since he has produced almost all of Somi and BP's singles. They probably plan on releasing something Teddy produced as a followup in the next 1-3 months.

Your picks number 5, 3, and 2 they are Soo-in(KR 19 oldest), Ella(AM-KR 16 maknae), and Anna(JP 19). These 3 girls performed quite good vocals. The other 2 are Gawon(AM-KR 19 tallest) and Narin(KR 17 braids girl) whom has deeper tone voice and could be all rounder, both of them. Meovv girls are good dancers, good vocal abilities, good face expression and stage presence. I still doubt about what rap style each of them could have delivered. Only 1 slightly short song can't tell much and vocal colors seemed similar. We want more from Meovv and the BlackLabel to reveal all their talents and various music styles.

Stop mentioning YG, the black label separated from YG some time ago when YG sold their shares on TBL from 40% to 20% and TBL moved to another building. They are no longer part of YG, not a sub label, they are only associated with YG just like HYBE is associated with YG through YG Plus because HYBE owns 20% of YG plus. Not because of that YG plus is a sublabel of hybe lol.. TBL is ONLY associated with YG, not a sub label or part of YG, that was in the past, not currently.
