My sister and her husband lived in Saudi on the Aramco commune. They were there for 3 years. The situation for women was not good. If she left the commune she had to wear a long robe, with sleeves that covered her arms, and a head covering. There were many slights ,because she was a woman. Those people who march in the numerous demonstrations have no idea what they are marching for. It is not for a cease fire, as they think, but to promote muslim ideology, and the changing of western culture. Be afraid, be very afraid.

@@adlenechellali2419 I don't care what the media says, however, I have friends who travelled and lived/worked in several Muslims countries. Also, I have met MANY ex-Muslims (and some Muslims) who came from Muslim countries for school (I worked in academia and met many students who came to Canada to work on their MSc and PhD degrees) - all were happy to get out of those countries and would not move back, especially the women. I find that only believing Muslims would say what you are saying, but few non-Muslims would chose to live in those countries. As I'm sure you know, many have blasphemy laws (if unofficial, still "enforced" by mob rule) and they are dangerous places to be for free thinking people.

Of all places, Iran has one of the highest number of people undergoing sexual reassignment surgeries. I know that sounds surprising but once you realize why, it becomes easier to grasp. The reason is because same-sex relationships are forbidden and punishable by death in Iran but being a transsexual person is not. So, in order to be in a relationship in Iran with someone who is the same biological sex as you, you have to become the other sex.

One of our American citizens went to Dubai. The rental car company that she rented a car from tried to charge her for damage to the car, (I believe was the story) and was told that she would be detained until she paid for it. She started yelling at the man running the rental company. She was arrested…for yelling at the man. It is against the law for women to yell at men in Dubai apparently. To YELL AT A MAN. Yeah sure! I wanna live there. NOT. Hell, I don’t even want to VISIT there.
