Very very special thanks to ahtovis for writing down the lyrics and above all helping me figuring out the insane amount of idioms used in this song!
The Dutch dubbing was released more or less around 2013, but was basically nowhere to be found until this year, as it was not sold on DVD or BD, only aired occasionally on TV.
*A few notes about the puns in the lyrics:
0:34 - “iedereen zal spoken zien”: lit. “everyone will see ghosts”. “To see ghosts” is a Dutch idiom for “to see danger where there’s none”.
1:26 - “schrik je scheel”: lit. “get cross-eyed scared”. The idiom actually goes “get cross-eyed laughing”, equivalent to “to be in stitches”, but the word “to make laugh” was here substituted with “to scare”.

It is more cool in other languages than in english. More mysterious and scary. When we hear it in dutch we can imagine those monsters song in some ancient or demonic language.

This is amazing! One thing I was wondering about though. In you're notes you say 'schrik je scheel' is literally 'scare your skull'. I wouldn't translate 'scheel' as skull since that would be 'schedel'. 'scheel' is more a way that you look with your eyes. I can't really think of a good translation but 'scheel' is when each eye looks at a different direction. (I'm from Flanders for context). And the metaphor 'schrik je scheel' as I know it means something like 'being so scared you're eyes look in different directions' so meaning 'being very scared'. I hope I don't come across as rude or anything, I was just wondering why you translated it as 'skull' ^^

I've never heard anyone use it in the meaning of 'skull', so I'd say that's wrong (or maybe it just isn't used like that where I live, or it's an old meaning of the word, but I don't know anything about that)

Yeah in the English version your kind of left questioning who that would be, and people who aren’t really paying attention might not even catch that it’s the same guy we see much later, but here, his voice has far too much pitch and he straight up says who he is instead of being mysterious about it. (I know it’s probably to keep with the rhythm of the song, but seriously, there weren’t any other lyrics they could’ve put there?)
