Got my first hobby box yesterday. A 20-21 hobby box and pulled my first ever jersey card!! In fact, I got 2!! A UD game jersey of Brent Burns and a debut dates Joel Farabee jersey which is a 1:432 chance of pulling which was definitely the best pull of my life!!!! Didn’t get Jrob tho like I hoped but the entire box was amazing!!

pc'ing jason robertson is one of the best decisions I have ever made. I noticed his numbers in the summer and late last season and wondered why is yg's were in the $15-20 range. picked up a bunch of his stuff and pulled an orange checkers rookie auto out of 15 from platinum. I really don't know why it took the rest of the world to see his productivity. at least a ppg. 2nd highest goal scorer. he's a stud. easily the best rookie out of that class. I'll be holding onto these cards for a long, long time.

I've opened one box of this and managed to pull that Bryum Seismic Pink you had in the video. Kinda hard to one touch it when you're sitting in the Walmart parking ripping packs. Got it home safely though. Needless to say, probably one of the best retail pulls I've had.

yea, i only bought 3 or 4 blasters of the OPC Platinum, and got a Kaprizov yellow surge. I figured it was worth maybe $30-40, but then I looked, and its been regularly selling for $100 or more. Also saw a PSA10 Stutzle yellow surge go for $335, makes me think a Kaprizov could fetch $500, maybe more. I think I also pulled a Tyler Benson auto from that same batch of blasters...plus they were on sale for $24.99 at the time, too. Great deal.

I went through the late 80s / early 90s card collecting boom and sunk a lot of money into my former collection. I managed to sell some of it, saved what I liked, and tossed the rest. Stated value now means nothing, and in the end they pieces of cardboard with a person's photo on it. The card itself only has value if you can sell it who really believes it has monetary value. Good luck trying to liquidate your collection when the hobby collapses or pawning it off to buy food if there's an economic crisis. Worst part about collectors is how they pass judgement on a player's card and its value because of his stats. In the end they're still high performance athletes who have out-competed many others to get where they are, whereas the collector is just some guy who never could have been had they even tried.
