Sweet Raava, it is so unfortunate hearing that you are going through such pain in this moment. And, while I don't necessarily have any anecdotes of advice, as I have not found myself a similar situation, I want you to know my heart reaches out to you. You are brilliant, vibrant, and a warrior -- take it moment by moment, day by day, and lead with what you feel is best for you.

Hi Raava, I know exactly what you are going through right now. In March of 1990 I was in a car accident and have lived with constant pain ever since, even after having two back surgeries. If you want to know more of my story and how I have coped with my pain, or listen to my advice, I would be happy to share it with you, but not in public comments on a YT video. How can I reach you via email? I’d like to help you avoid some of the problems that I encountered over the last 32 years. Take care and hang in there, you will get through this.

If you feel like the surgery is the right thing, go for it. We cannot take that decision from you, but we can take another thing off you. The money aspect. I cannot give much, but I think together as a community we can make it. Maybe we can organize something big very soon, so you dont have to worry about that part at least. I really hope you can finally get better. You deserve to be healthy and without pain. You are amazing, we love you Raava

I had a microdiscectomy a couple years ago after walking in pain for about 1.5 years (could not sleep, sit etc), had to get out of bed every night every couple hours to walk for the pain to go away. Did everything physical therapy, injections etc. They didn't want to do surgery cause i was young because of risks that it would come back later. So I told them I dont want to live in pain every day and rather be pain free when I am still young, so I had the surgery. Could immediately feel after surgery that it got better but i took 6 months for the nerve pain in my leg to go completely away. Definitely recommend it, cause the never ending pain is killing. Today I can sit completely comfortable all day and it's easy to forget good posture/habits.

Thank you for choosing to spread kindness when you're experiencing pain and being so challenged. I'm sorry that you have to go through this again. It seems really impressive that you have made life changes that made the second time a different outcome of being able to do more than crawl. I think this speaks so much about your tenacity and character. You are so strong. You say thank you to your community, I'm sure your community is even more thankful towards you. Even during times of immense pain and hardship you've shown up, been vulnerable and so approachable. You're so inclusive. You seem so strong. I'm sorry if that's forced due to your struggles. Thank you for the love you share. If there is hope of living pain free... that seems like a preferred option even if it costs so much. This might sound like an opinion from an entitled position but 4-5000 doesn't seem so bad if you don't have to be reminded everyday that your actions are controlled by your pain. That sounds really gross coming from a person who can't even help much. I feel like the community that you have impacted so strongly stand behind you. There may be changes in how you present yourself after some choices. It will still be you without a webcam and I think that is an incredible blessing that even after some difficult changes, you will still be yourself. Thank you for taking the time to share with us. You spirit amazes me all the time. Love, Pink 💖

Don't give up today, just one more day and keep on counting those days up. Bad health is the worst thing, but don't give up. All the best with your surgery choice. I can't relate, but I can share with you one of my stories. About 7 years ago I quit my job and started a business. I got my first customer a month in a decent sized contract 5-6months job. A month later I had chronic pain in my gut, couldn't sleep, couldn't work in the pain, I didn't have private health insurance so nothing fast was going to be figured out, constantly crying, I was panicking about the work and not being able to carry on, no savings, I was thinking the worst I was going to die. Meanwhile I had stopped eating and when I stopped eating the pain didn't happen so much and when I laid down it would trigger and heat helped so I would sit up right and sleep. We have free health care and I eventually got a diagnosis and was told I needed surgery and I would go on the waiting list, well I went on it begging for a early slot writing them and calling regularly,, it went unanswered but I needed to keep going so I changed my diet dramatically and ate as little as possible. I got to a point where I could manage about 3 weeks in, I got back to work and managed to keep the contract. Several months later I had lost a lot of weight all I ate was potatoes, courgettes, carrots ect, the call for the surgery came. I had been fine, slowly bringing my eating levels back to before. I decided against the surgery. Years later I've been fine and it never happened to me again. The silver lining for me was that the surgeon at the hospital who would have taken my surgery turned out to have really fuck up people at that period of time and the people were paid out alot of compensation. Things always work out even when they don't look like they are, I'm not saying don't take the surgery, I'm saying what ever decision you take will be the right one. All the best Unichrome

Pain is a terrible thing to live with; you know it far better than I do. I'm no medical professional and this is completely unqualified but... I feel getting surgery is the best choice (though naturally, your choice is yours and you know yourself best). I've known how much your pain has affected you for so long; whatever else surgery does, it'll help you deal with that pain, like it did in the past, and you're in a better place now than you were before. You're stronger than you think you are; you're a beautiful, resilient person who's endured so much and will endure much again on this long road ahead of you, but I believe in you, and you're not walking it alone. We're here with you, to whatever end ❤ As for the finances... your physical and mental wellbeing is priceless. You are a kind, caring, compassionate wonderful person who believes in spreading love and happiness, even through all the pain. It's because you're such a good person that you've gathered this family around you. And a family takes care of each other. We'll help, as much as we can, to try and get that burden off your mind. Because you're worthy and you deserve it. Keep being kind to yourself, you special human ❤

Another bit of advice from someone who has had back surgeries, (2) if your pain is caused by a bulging disc pressing on a nerve, don’t wait years to have your surgery, because it might lead to permanent nerve damage if not treated soon enough. I had to fight Workers Compensation doctors who said that there was nothing wrong with my back, and it took me 16 years to get my first surgery and by then I believe it was too late to prevent permanent damage. I’m still trying to reverse my nerve damage to stop the constant pain over 32 years after my car accident. Don’t give up, you are young and beautiful (inside and out), plus intelligent and compassionate, so I know you can get through this and recover.

Hi Raava! I can't say that I've ever had a spinal issue, but once I did have to have my gall bladder removed because of the pain it was causing me. Like you I put up with the pain for years because I couldn't afford to have it removed. But then I had a visit to the Emergency Room because the pain woke me up screaming. After the ultrasound they basically told me that it was full of sand and would not go away on it's own. I have insurance, but like you it wouldn't cover the whole surgery, and I knew I'd spend years paying it off. Fortunately they were able to do laparoscopic surgery to remove it, but even the extraction incision had to be larger than normal to remove it. Once I woke up my surgeon told me she was glad that I had decided on the surgery, as at that point it was actually life threatening. Years later I'm still paying for that surgery, but I'm still very glad I had it done. I can't really offer any advice, but I hope my story helps.

I just stumbled upon your video today because I've gotten lost in GW2 recently and wanted to see your lastest. Coincidently 1 week ago I got an MRI because I couldn't move and was in tremendous pain and the doctor diagnosed me with a couple herniated discs, crystallized vertebrae and possible ankylosing spondylitis. In my case though doctor said surgery wasn't neesary yet, even though I often loose feeling in my leg and pain shoots down my leg. Nevertheless this seems to be the beginning of a long and painful journey. Still, stay strong, theres so much to live for. GW2 is just a small part of it and people like you make it such a great thing. You're not only showing so mugh courage but you also inspire people like me to keep fighting through the pain and life difficulties and challenges.

Most beautiful Dr. Captain Officer Lady Affiliate and Partner Raava Ron Dudu Master of Jobs, Architecture and Moomoos (sorry, not sorry :p), I'm sad that you are going through so much pain and you are honestly a literal super human for every step you take in this difficult phase. I don't have any advice for your decision because it is yours and only yours to make. But if a surgery provides a significant percentage of easing this pain and helping your body in its need to heal, then this is a valuable aspect of consideration. No matter what your decision is, you are not alone - you have the support of a whole crew! And even if it would be a loss of the most beautiful face on streams for three months - we are here on every step of your journey!

for your exercise question, you may want to try swimming since it gives you a full range of body motions while putting very little strain onto your body. And for pain, I use medical weed lol

I don't experience anything like your pain myself but my partner was diagnosed with ankylosing spondylitis, that's an autoimmune disease that causes swelling all over the body and makes the vertebrae in your spine fuse/grow bone spurs (very painful stuff). Chronic pain is a b*tch. You don't have to feel guilty for being affected by pain. Having to spend all the money on doctors suck. Especially when there are tests and procedures involved. I don't have any advice regarding your decision but know that you're not alone in your fight and that sharing your story is a huge deal for people in the same arena.

I understand everything that makes you hesitate about the surgery…. But if there’s no alternative treatment, I feel like it’s a worthy sacrifice if it means you get to live pain-free again. The financial setback must be terrifying - I totally understand, going through financial difficulties myself at the moment. But your health and your ability to work, to move, to be comfortable in your body, to even have the chance to think about something else than pain, all need to come first in my opinion. Money will come. We can always raise funds to help you pay that other half
