This weekend was seriously bad for cheaters, every fking lobby was full of them. You couldn't even play the game and every game I played the legit players in my team backed out leaving me playing solo. I got a voice ban for calling players out of which I've appealed against because if Hack-tivision are going to allow these players to cheat then I should have a god dam right to use any profanity towards them, especially with it being a cert 18+ game !!!!!

Before the next game loaded, I had the message thank you for the report. We took action against said player. I ended up getting 3 messages within 2 hours of game play. It’s already completely out of control. It’s like 75% of games have cheaters now in the lobbies I’ve been getting. I report the Cheaters and a few games later I see them again in another lobby. The worst part is so many of them just seem to be level 650 sweats who aren’t even streaming, so there’s not even a monetary incentive behind it. Just losers who cheat at a game they play all the time anyways

​@@korn20293Cheaters are in any game that allows PC to play in crossplay. The problem is PC and until they start fighting back against the cheaters ruining their community it will only get worse. Right now when someone brings up the cheaters on PC the PC simps run out and defend these blatant cheaters and then they say that PlayStation and Xbox have more cheaters. The worst cheats on Xbox is Cronus with minimum scripts and lag switches and those who exploit lag compensation. The worst cheaters on PlayStation are jailbroken consoles but it costs a lot of money per week to keep them online to avoid being console banned. I have gone against Cronus users on Xbox and they are nowhere near as bad as PC cheaters with their actual hacks. The PC community has had almost three decades to fight against cheaters and all they did was create the vote to kick and that's it. They had a good solution with punk buster but the PC community said it violated privacy rights so EA abandoned it. If you ask me the cheating problem would be solved if they turned off crossplay for PC or forced them to give up ALL privacy with a very strict anti cheat.

PLEASE START SPECIFICALLY LOOKING FOR THIS IN THE GAMEPLAY OF STREAMERS: when they rotate their screen, their crosshair locks onto the edge of enemy hitboxes. This is the easiest way to systematically identify cheaters. Start watching Aydan, Zlaner etc... and slow down their gameplay to 0.25x when they ecounter enemies. You will constantly see this pattern of aiming - it seems to be a feature of their cheats that allows them to subtly but drastically improve their aim. It isn't present in the gameplay of legit players like Scump etc...

I agree, this game has enough money to create anything they want and yet these problems not only still exist but are continually being added to every update. It isn't about longevity of the player base but more of how to get the most money out of people in the shortest amount of time. And they do this well unlike anything else, like making a game that works as intended and isn't exploited to the point of no return... well regardless of what we got to say about it or how it makes us feel, this genre is hurting and greed as usual is at the forefront. It's crazy how fast this would be solved if they turn off crossplay for ALL PC platforms. They aren't losing money since PC players prefer games on sale or pirated games. As for micro transactions they either go without or use unlock tools they don't even buy anything. So if Activision wanted to save this game all they would have to do is disable crossplay for PC. Later down the road if they want to save the PC community they could re-enable it when Nintendo comes out with their next gen console and PC and Nintendo can play with each other only since they both have major cheating problems.

This may be bad or selfish to say, but the upside for a player like me when cheaters do this is simple. It pushes their KD/r higher than I will ever achieve. The best thing is it keeps them out of my lobbies, or me out of theirs, since their boosting up their KD/r so quickly and artificially.

With DMA cheats, #ricochet will have to go beyond trying to detect 3rd party processes running but focus on the actual behaviors inside the game and base it on the limits of human ability. I.e non-linear switching between enemies vs. linear switching, reaction times lower than possible human limits; aim quality and behavior (even though the newer cheats can move to different points...the intra-hit box movement would be linear); during rapid rotation to aim at an enemy the aim stops abruptly stops on an enemy (no waver past and then back). #ricochet will have to use what #activision has built (game code and physics engine) to detect these DMA cheats

Aimbots already have settings to avoid such detection. As BBB just showed, delay switching between targets, limit speed of aim, overshoot target to mimic natural aiming, check for visibility, randomize part of enemy to shoot. They simply to have it step up, DMA cheats are already out there for years. There is NOTHING stopping Activision, EA etc. to buy, undercover, those cheats themselves and analyze it, but they are not really trying.

There are discord servers going as far back as when the game was in beta talking about how effective DNA cheats are. Even though valorant works at a kernel level, which gives it loading priority over most hardware in your compute, cheater providers have found multiple ways to bypass initial detection by the anti cheat. Yes, Riot Games does a better job at detecting these cheats than Ricochet but for those technical cheaters which know the flaws of kernel based level anti cheats, they can easily circumvent this by using various methods. The funny thing is that people have been cheating like this for years and while we champion valorant as the best anti cheat on the market(which I believe to be true) it is as bad as any other anti cheat when it comes to this level of cheating.

One major reason that they wouldnt ever do something like take out aim assist for 24 hours to catch the cheaters or something similar to that is because there would probably be such a huge amount of the player base gone from that. Plus it would cement the fact that they have been affiliated, sponsoring, whitelisting etc. 100% known cheaters at that point and would seal activisions fate. They already have about 0 credibility these days as it is because just aside from the cheating problem look how pissed off and upset the COD community is just about how the game plays like absolute shit and is full of glitches. It seems like after mw2019 they have just been on this downwards spiral. It seriously seems like they are asking chatgpt to write the game code and put in ideas for the game and then just copy and pasting whatever code chatgpt is printing out for them. Look at all the newest additions to the game; stupid things with resurgence like: random 4 plate games, "loaded" resurgence, "high trip" resurgence, map rotation only on like duo or trio resurgence when they could just have it like they did in 2019 and just let you pick what you wanted to play solo, duo, trio quad on the exact map you wanted to play, SBMM in fkn RANKED MODE in both MP and WZ which completely takes out any integrity of a ranked mode, all these shit ass new MP maps and shit like capture the flag plus modes that just make 0 sense to put in because i highly doubt that ANYONE is even playing them yet continue to keep them in, they dont even have a shipment 24/7 anymore which i know SO MANY PEOPLE which that was all they played and now no longer even play cod because they never know when they will get shipment, and lastly look at all these weird ass operator skins and guns they are putting in the game for $25+ dollars a pack and even $100 packs. It is just beyond dissapointing to see a game that I have loved and played for like 17+ years just go straight into a burning dumpster fire and a joke really. It could so easily be turned around too if they actually listened to players that play the game instead of the 12-14 year old kids that only play on the weekends and get shit on 1 time in a gunfight and go on twitter and complain about it.

This is the most basic DMA setup I’ve seen. You can use a Fuser between the game PC and the cheat PC which will overlay the HDMI inputs on to one monitor. The Kimbox is what gives you the aimbot because it merges input. You can then use a Xim to add controller input. The only detectable element with DMA is the firmware on the DMA PCIe card itself which in cheaper setups are shared, but those willing to pay extra for custom firmware will never get detected. Also the menus and cheats are just as advanced as any external “closet” cheating menu but obviously have no rage features because DMA is only reading memory not writing to it like one PC cheats. They have humanised aimbot, ESP wall hacks just like decent menus do and looks more like aim assist in kill cams. Snappy aimbot is for rage hackers using cheap internal menus, external one PC cheats look legit just like DMA does

Played and watched this Sunday for the first time in months. Easily the team that won was cheating 6-7 games. Only one team I was not 100% sure and that was trips and quads. Ran into cheaters in every single game, even multiplayer, never seen a game so bad before. Hope no-one buys Activision next release.

I had a couple of games last night and out of about 5 games I say there was a cheater in about 2 games but is was like they was using wall hacks more than aimbot unless the aimbot was real smooth and look really legit because I based them cheating on looking at me through the wall but not aimbot

DMA cheats are not "undetectable" several anti cheats have the ability to discern it and many cheat devs have said as much. The problem is its not common and also expensive so its usually not the main focus of cheat detection software.

Personally I think that Since we are stuck with SBMM/EOMM they should be taking care of the statistics that are out of the ordinary, like you have someone on a level 2 or level 5 or even a 20 and there popping off 35 - 40 kills in a death match or whatever they're in it's out of the ordinary should be sus. Meaning they are reverse boosting using a VPN DMA or downloadable cheats and they should be looked at. Great idea for turning the aim assist off for 24 to 48 hours!

@ 8:00 is the best thing anyone has ever said. Aim assist is like aimbot that's why I moved to PC M&K which is far harder when I started but now the mouse is OP when it comes to the flicks. No pro streamers that play on controller can beat me on mouse and keyboard without their aim assist.

Dma's have been around a lot longer than you think lol. ITS NOT NEW. And it doesnt matter what the anti cheat does unless they block certain config spaces that are used in the firmware on the card they will never get banned. Let alone once they do get banned it takes 2 minutes to flash a new firmware on the card and go right back to it. You guys complain about COD like it hasnt been cheated in tell now. MW2, MW3, BO1, BO2, BO3 etc all have had cheaters. Blame the anti cheat if you want but they cant do nothing against these devices. (The dma is replicated of a real device) meaning if they want to block all dmas they better get to blocking all real PCIe devices. Can use that if you want. But without PCIe devices leave your GPU rendered useless, anybody with PCIe wifi cards, PCIe expansions all useless meaning when the game is running the anti cheat will not allow those things to function as they will be NOT working when the game is running. I am not meaning to come off as a piece of shit Beaman but your argument cant make any logical sense in the anti cheats perspective. They cant just block the card when its replicated as another device. Shits not new, and if you compare any game out there including valorant for a "Good" anti cheat you gotta know half of those streamers are also using dma. Also got to keep in mind the cheat they use for dma will never get dtc you can compile a dtc ass cheat and make it work for dma and you wont get banned, welcome to the life of it runs on a separate pc, and on top of that the dma bypasses the cpu on main pc (The cpu is where the anti cheat is running) Dma pulls the memory from main pc and relays it to the second pc where all the cheat shit renders. No point in giving this shit light because you guys popularizing it than complaining i find it hilarious and nobody who makes videos to thousands of people should be complaining when you are at fault. You are shining light on a cat and mouse game. They cant do nothing and i mean that. I gave one alternative block all existing PCIe devices, even if they do that someone will make a custom board that is not blocked with different chipsets and youll just get ultra fucked.
