I always go to barbecue Nation for 5 items only 1. Grill prawns (15 sticks) 2. Grill fish (5 stick) 3. Chicken tawa mamna (boneless)(3 dish) 4. Laal maas (Rajasthan mutton dish)(1 big dish) 5. I've cracked the code at buffet restaurants, Always go for the dry proteins first such as grilled meat/fish/kebabs, instead of carbs like rice,bread,roti,pasta,potato and gravy dishes. Because carbs will bloat your stomach, Making you feel full. And gravy items will saturate your taste buds and prohibit your brain from eating more. I always go for grilled fish,prawns and kebabs,since it's not that easy to prepare them at home usually and you can always eat a ton of it at buffet restaurants.

When we were bachelor we used to go to the BBQ nation once in two months. It was real fun and a good time. Just some tips while going to BBQ Nation: 1. Try to go early. Just request them to make all BBQ less spicier. 2. Do not fall into the trap of Pre soft drinks. Infact have very little drink / water altogether. 3. if you are non vegetarian then attack on prawns sticks; they are very costly outside. you can easily have 7-8 sticks in one meal. you will not even fill after this meal. 4. Try having less meat and sweet stuff. 5. Crab curry is awesome and worth every penny. 6. If you request they can make some special dishes of prawns. Basically when I was in India; this was our favorite restaurant.

I tasted it myself and it was good so I ordered again. Just because potatoes are inexpensive doesn't mean they are overselling the appeal of that dish. My point is that: I agree they do a lot of things to optimize costs, but the waiter telling you what food is good isn't one of them. The waiter wasn't trying to oversell cheap stuff. He was just being genuine.

BBQ Nation is by far one of the good buffet chains... the proximity of diff stalls depend on ur seat.. they usually pit live counters in front of u to give u a show... also the best menu is served during festivities... esp Christmas wk... they add extra dishes... and if u don't like a particular food, they'll revamp it to ur liking... and bring as much as necessary... also the potato dish is the BBQ nation's special menu item... I also found it odd that a veg item was a spcl item...but unfortunately or Fortunately vegetarian people do exist... so even though as non vegetarians we view meat as the main star of the dish... they don't...

On entering , the first thing i tell the waiter guy giving starters ki " bhaiya veg nhi dena" 😎👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼. Ik all their tricks.

One thing that i do is so say absolutely no to veg dishes. I don't even allow them to keep them on my table. No corn no potatos no paneer no pineapple. I don't waste time on main course. Deserts in the end only.

I don't think they are overthinking this as much as you are. THe plate is standard size that is easy to carry when you have to hold in hand and fit in a table area. Ghar ka bada stainless steel thali leke buffet mein kada rahega kya ?

In US all items specially meat and paneer items with dessert recipes are kept in front. But problem is items are processed and unhealthy.

Some buffet places have short height chairs which causes your stomach to compress when you sit as you are almost squatting... You end up eating less

I paid around 800/- I ate one chicken leg piece, 10 prawns stick(around 40 piece), 3 fish stick(12 piece) 2 stick of chicken, 2 stick of roasted pine apple, 1 kabab roll, and into the main course I ate briyani, chicken soup, pastry, paan kulfi(5), gulab jamun etc :)
