the thing with pubg is that even with its flaws. its still good enough. not hard sim like tarkov, and not hard arcade fast paced game like apex or others.

You are right! Speaking of Realism, I would like to see your running speed slowed proportionately to the weight you carry. For example, you would move slower with a full Level 3 backpack versus a full level 1 backpack. What do you think?

I would disagree here. Movement is currently proportional to which weapon is in your hand. SMG run faster than AR than Sniper than LMG etc. if anything, I’d like overall movement/animations sped up 5-10%

Thermal is the most OP item in pubg. Easy balance to it would be a jammer pack makes you immune to thermal vision. (If the pack still has charge to it)
