Hey man. Quick question. Most of your models were done in a similar scheme. But what would you do for let's say a vehicles like a doomscythe my army is all similar but cobalt blue. I'm concerned that for larger vehicles this theme will clash with vehicles. If you were to paint a doomscythe for your own army what theme/color would you lean to?

Hey! Yes you are right, for my scheme, green on green or blue on blue works for smaller models. If I were to paint a doomscythe (I will eventually :D), I'd consider it as a 3 parts model. A big croissant, with 2 arcs and the center with the cockpit. I'd keep the arcs very dark, trying to sell an obsidian rock effect, and the center using my tainted metal method, with glow effects on the vents and panel lines. I hope you can picture what I'm saying :D. That way, you don't get a big blue croissant on the table.

@hubespaintshop thanks yes makes sense. My fear is the whole army looking too blue or too green. I've loved batch painting the minis but now I have some larger ones to try. And my skills are for sure not as good as yours. I have two classic style monotliths I also picked up as a lot. But just as mind blocked on the scheme for those. I have them black primed and was just going to dry brush some steel and darker greens to get the blackstone effect. What do you think I should do on those two?

Thanks for the video - you're very talented. Bit of criticism, since your channel has few subs: 1: turn the music volume down 20-30% when you talk 2: drop all the memes - people come to see you paint, not crack jokes, e.g. the only relevance is a word ("chrome" -> Mad Max clip). Jokes should come naturally - not pushed in the viewer's face. It furthermore ruins the tone of voice of your video - the reveal for instance is awesome; great music and presentation. The memes are horribly juxtaposed compared to high quality you are able of. Edit: the Pornhub joke in your Hexmark video is great! Genuinely funny. Best of luck!

Your criticism is more than welcome, and it reflects a lot of what I've been working on and what I want to improve. Audio : lot's of tests, then new mic, then tests again, and today I'm finally posting a vid with good audio balancing imo. Dumb skits & memes : you're right, I cringe a lot when looking at my older vids. Less is more, and I have to blend them better with the rest of the content and stop forcing them. This is what I'm focusing on today, to keep the humor but improve a lot lot lot on the quality. Thanks a lot for taking the time, close friends and stats are not enough when you want to improve :) You rock. Cheers !
