Do you season it once a year? And only once in the bath. Or a few times in a row ie like over a week maybe three times? Also, should you dry inside the swag before zipping up for drying like at the end of your video? Thanks so much.
@timbates4wdadventures

Gday mate I’ve only ever done my swag once other than the demonstration I did for the video. Once the canvas shrinks around the stitching holes, it really shouldn’t need doing again. You want the swag full dry, both inside and out before rolling it up. I hope that helps mate. Thanks for your feedback Cheers Tim.

An open question to Tim Bates and viewers: how well might this work for adventure kings swags? double deluxe specifically. I have one and the stitchingg around the four corners of the base and the canvas seems to still have visible holes after a few soakings with a hose/watering can. I wonder if the bath will fix these corners or whether I might need a silicon sealant or something for them

Yep, best way of seasoning a swag. Bathtub, empty drum or wheelie bin. Its alot more water wise to do it this way too. The cocky would of bloody shot me, if i sat there watering my swag, off the house water tank! Hahaha.Youll have to stand there for awhile, with the hose, to soak it properly too. Ill re-season it again after a big trip especially if ive been in hot dry climates like the Pilbrara or Kimberley regions. Youll find ya swag will shrink a bit when its been in a hot dry climate for awhile. So great way of washing all the red dust and fart particles out of ya fart sack. And just make sure it seals nicely, before ya head out, whatever time of year...great vid Tim!👍👌
