Your second pronunciation was right. Small towns in middle American definitely have some of the more unique things

@juju3858 I grew up next to it. It is pronounced like the second one. It's an American town. It doesn't necessarily follow the origins of the word

Lmao as someone who lives in oldham county la grange let me be the first to tell you the light where the train is, it’s a traffic magnet. If you’re ever there you should check out a pizza place called hometown pizza. It’s about the only thing worth checking out in town. Just curious how you even found my tiny KY town? Just random coincidence? Either way huge shout out to north east KY!

man I remember when I was younger watching trains go through town, and as a kid im like we are gonna get hit but big oh freight trains come down the main street and it is pronounced the 2nd way you said it.
