Yeah, probably only handful of dealers that are allowed to service them, plus they probably sent 1 or 2 techs to mclaren to learn how to service them. Im sure a lot of that is labor.

I was always told it is hard on the fuel pumps to always have low fuel. Wouldn't it be smart to always have the fuel tanks full? I was told with my motorcycles to always store it with a full tank of gas. Most of his cars are basically in storage because they don't get driven often.

I get that you have to preserve the cars to keep their value, but at that point, I’d say it’s safe to daily them. If I lost a few hundred grand when I go to sell them, who cares? That’s an experience only a handful of people have the chance to enjoy. He’s not going broke regardless, he can afford a total loss. The family’s secured either way.

Just so you know.In the uk it is $10.86c a gallon of unleaded. We cry at the pumps too. Great vid Manny. Glad Nate could keep up with you. Nate can run at 73 mph.. as you speed tail maxed at 72 mph to date.

Manny, On line information suggests your Speedtail should take 19 US gallons of gas and has a 414 mile range. So I don't know why your Speedtail only accepted 13 gallons and the instruments indicated you had only 90 miles of range remaining after fill-up.

i never live in the US. serious question. do u guys only get 91 octane as the highest rating for the fuel? if I'm not mistaken 91 octane equivalent to ron95 as the global standards. Here in Malaysia ron95 was the lowest specs for the fuel, wr got ron97 & ron100 as the premium fuel.

Gas goes bad in a short time, less than 6-12 months in a tank and bad gas can harm an engine. Having a tank full of gas in a car you barely ever drive is a very bad idea.

@@nickk4010 actually the opposite. Exposure to air is what degrade and oxidizes fuel. Having the tank as full as possible means the least amount of air and makes the fuel last much longer.

Manny with the cost of fuel in the country and especially in CA maybe a thought would be to invest in an underground fuel tank at your new building. Yes it is a huge initial investment but if you buy in bulk with 91 or higher octane it may be beneficial to you. I know you don't drive the hyper cars a lot but they make baffled tanks to put even 89 octane in as well. Just a thought
