there is a website with frequencies of 19k (19,000) hertz and above recorded for this testing purpose. I'm definitely not a teen anymore, but I can hear those. I think it has more to do with the cleanliness of one's ears.

Hey for everyone who is concerned about not being able to hear 19k and is still a teenager, two things: KZbin compresses audio, so its very likely the noise wasn't even playing. Being able to hear 19,000 hertz is very good. Humans can only hear about 20,000 hertz or less, so not being able to hear 19k does NOT mean you have hearing loss. Not at all close. You aren't missing much if you hear 1,000 hertz less than what is optimal. I wouldn't even be worried if you're at 17,000 to be honest, but this is coming from the perspective of someone with partial deafness so don't quote me on that last part...
