​​@@WayaliciousTV HMG is golden vs bots. Peak Physic or Fortified. Peak Physic for faster response/less reticle drag, Fortified for recoil control. Crouch and scope do a lot for recoil now and the quick cross hair alignment makes controlling muzzle rise a lot easier. I like the HMG with the Adjudicator, Jar, Pummeler, or the Concussive AR that got a little buff to destroying limbs. Check your fire speed. Lowest RoF can tap ship vents and melt hulk limbs at range. Close up, high RoF will drop tough bots in 1-1.5s and can face kill Hulks. Edit: HMG will stagger stalkers. I like the Pummeler and Concussive Liberator for lil ones, stagger my attacker, swap to HMG to finish.

What I've found to be the best way to fight Rocket/Heavy Devastators with the MG is, either from long range, or up close. Neither the Heavy nor the Rocket Devastator will be accurate at long range, but the MG absolutely is, and if you get up close (preferably with solod cover for the Heavy) you can absolutely chunk both of them on the highest RPM. In fact, getting up close to the Rocket Devastator gets him to stop shooting rockets entirely, and if he's got a Rocket Trooper or Rocket Devastator behind him, they'll shoot him in the back. If you get within punching distance of the Heavy, he'll stop shooting and try to shield bash you, you can outrun/duck under this attack, and it exposes him to counter fire.

@@Vespyr_ honestly I wish it just had some more ammo in the magazine. 4.5 second stationary reload for 75 rounds is kind of ridiculous. Even if it just got bumped up to 100 rounds it be better. Giving it bad ammo economy and it being unwieldy is pretty harsh.

This and the HMG received quite the glow-up. Missions with massed Armored Bile Spewers were a serious loadout check for any squad that dropped with chaff-clear and anti-tank but little in-between. The two armor-piercing MGs were solid against them before, but now they EVISCERATE the big greens.

This is where I love going with Grenade Launcher + Incendiary + Supply Backpack. Don't need to worry about headshots. Just grenade them anywhere and they all pop and die. The only real tricky part with this loadout are chargers. So I go with Railstrike and 110 rocket pods.

When MG206 came out, it became my favorite MG out of the 3 MGs, even before the buff, though MG43 still holds a special place in my heart and I still run it a lot. Certified MG enjoyer! Scorcher + stuns are still MG43's + Stalwart's best friend, cuz Scorcher takes 6 shots to burst both normal AND Behemoth Charger's butt fast (cuz 100% durable and Behemoth has 1200 butt HP), so it really rounds out MG43 + Stalwart really well. I will say that, the reason why I love MG206 the most right now is mainly because of the slower fire rate xD, MG43 and Stalwart tend to make me overshoot a bit too much, wasting unnecessary ammo, but it's not really that big of a deal haha. Also MG206 can destroy Shrieker's nest/Spore Spewer and have way better TTK and breakpoints IF you can control it, so yeah. It does feel a bit rough sometimes not being able to take down Shrieker's nest from half a mile away with MG43/Stalwart sometimes xD

I know stun grenade is useful to tempo the fight but if you use incendiary grenade it will kill them. Enemies death = no wasted bullet, remove pressure during swarm, less time to die. It's also good to use to close bug holes if you run out pistol grenade ammunition. Jumpack is great option, I haven't thought about it but i like using shield generator or supply pack to keep me longer alive. If you learn how to reposition using stealth armor, i can tell you, you will have more opening to reload your mg-43. I love mg-43 but i recently switch to heavy one cause it can destroy enemies faster and objectives even if it has less ammo capacity and mag. Just combine with supply pack and enjoy it

It's actually pretty quick to take down normal chargers. Wait for their skid then take out a back leg in about 2 seconds

3:35 I’d recommend the Arc Blitzer if not using a supply pack. The Blitzer stagger, infinite ammo, and damage is too good against the terminids and it staggers Stalkers. Two-three shots them most times. With the MG, you can also deal with larger targets and spewers who you want to keep at a distance. I’ve been using this combo and noticed I’m dealing with swarms a lot better.

When it comes to MG builds, I have left aside the grenade pistol. Because it has often happen that I ran out of ammo to complete a big nest. So, instead, I rely on primary to so that. I take Crossbow or Eruptor, and Senator to stop those stuborn brooders advancing on me, or deal with a bunkered down Guard if I have Stalwart and not MG. I hope your next video mentions my tip for MG reload :) I have footage if you want.

I like that all 3 machine guns have a place now. Stalwart is essentially just a primary weapon, for people who choose non-standard primary weapons (like crossbow/eruptor), HMG are for when you want to be able to lay down heavy chunk fire (can take out gunships, and even tanks if you hit the radiator), with the MG23 being a middle ground. It has a lot more ammo than the HMG, and can still chew up medium targets, but still has to stop to reload unlike the stalwart.

I've been exploiting the "hyper reactive bot feature" lately. Machine gun or stalwart, guard dog, machine gun sentry and auto cannon sentry (for gunships). I might me useless for clearing fabrics but over 2000 rounds fired and almost 400 bots killed every mission speaks for itself

With my machine gun builds, recently I've taken to bringing along the railcannon strike on gunship patrol modified missions, or when there's a gunship fabricator. The railcannon strike will actually target those damn things.

Overall HD2 secondary mg tips: 1) Crouch. 2) Grenades. 3) Good armor passive (Engineer kit/Fortified/Peak Physique) to control recoil or improve handling Breaker Incendiary is crowd control. When carrying MG-43, I really prefer a primary with medium armor pen. Adjudicator is in a surprisingly good place on bug drops right now. It doesn't have the popcorn pellets burning targets, but it will cut through armored warriors like a hot knife through butter. And it takes down the lower chaff quicker than the shotty anyway. Stun grenades are nice, but on bug drops don't sleep on the impact incendiary grenades. They are especially useful on breaches. If I'm taking an mg on a bot drop, it's the HMG, and the load out completely changes. Personal preference, of course.

It never disappoints. It's like a primary that can be used in all scenarios, clears fodder, deletes mediums and deals with heavies too. The quick stationary reload and slightly worse ergonomics is a very small price to pay for that.

I just started using an MG support build for the first time today on the clanker front, and I can wholeheartedly testify that the MG43 is such an underrated asset to a team. The MG43 mows down all small bots and devastators (especially those damn rocket and shield ones) like a weed-whacker shredding grass. Just having 1 MG43 frees up 3 other guys to carry more anti-tank and anti-air weaponry. Making high-difficulty bot missions more manageable.
