The concrete blocks seem to have been laid "dry" with no mortar between the blocks, top, bottom, and at the ends. I'm sure you filled cavaties with mud and rebar, but this still looks very strange. Love how the two of you work together!! I see lots of great techniques, too. Always learn from your videos!

Also, flooring should never go tight to a masonry wall. You need an expansion gap in every direction. That's what floor molding is supposed to cover

For other people thinking of emulating this video, can I add this warning? Be careful which timber you used as flooring. Some woods need to be regularly cramped lest the floorboards later buckle and warp. I've seen it first hand, it results in a bumpy, uneven floor, ugly & dangerous. For timber that needs cramping, using long steel clamps. perhaps hardwood, do this- fit your tongue & groove together tightly, even trimming some to ensure a snug fit. Keep them tight and snug against each other and very firmly against the wall as you nail them. Lay, say, 10 lines of boards, then clamp them hard against the original wall, and leave overnight, if not longer. Lay another 10 lines of boards, ensuring they're tight against each other and tight against the boards you last laid. Nail them tight & firm. Cramp them by clamping again and leave overnight or longer. And so on. For a 4 metre (13 feet) room, use at least 4 clamps, maybe five.

What's really amazing is that, if the amount of viewers or subscribers alone donated 1$ a month on patreon, for example, to sustain himself as a living wage providing youtube content.
