THIS Is How The Indiana Fever DESTROYED The Seattle Storm
The Indiana Fever just won a BIG TIME Game against the Seattle Storm. Although Caitlin Clark and Kelsey Mitchell had big games, I think Lexi Hull was the MVP.
How good was she? In this video, I break it down!

Well, that true, but let’s be real here … outside of Wilson, Copper, Ionescue, and Stewart, Team USA wasn’t particularly talented. Certainly coming out on top of Dianasaur “triple bagel” Taurausiarus (somebody get that old lady a walker), and Brittney “the mule” Griner isn’t all that much to get excited about.

@@baseballsux2 that’s exactly the point… all these older & younger crop of elite W players including recent Olympics Team USA are all very talented much like CC & other rookies class… but the main key difference is CC’s SUPER EXCITING playmaking/ shotmaking run & Gun brand, which are completely NEW & UNIQUE to women’s game. This is what makes CC so exciting & captivating to the new fans resulting in massive new unprecedented ratings explosion/ bonanza! Her maturity, likability, wholesomeness, charisma & communication skills also add to her mystic & marketability NEVER seen before in W. Her haters just fail to objectively these distinctions/ differentiators… since they are too clouded by jealously, pettiness & hatred. What a shame.

It happens every time anyone gets criticised. When Boston was criticised for being overweight she was suddenly soaring and scoring to CC's passes. When Mitchell was called out for pointless, ineffective dribbling she got passes which resulted in 3 pointers galore. Recently Hull was called out for her inability to shoot and suddenly she is a three point queen with hot passes from both Clark and Boston. It's almost like watching a team with only one player become two, then three then--- and most of it is down to Clark's foresight and control of the court. If they stay together (with only one or two exceptions) this is going to be THE team to beat next season.

Yeah. Well, according to ESPN, there are six guards in the league who are better than Clark. 🙄 I’m sure that all six of them could have seen that lane and made that pass way better than the below average Caitlin Clark. For the record, in the same article that ranked CC the 7th best guard, they sang the praises of Angel Reese (a decent player, for sure, but no Caitlin Clark) and claimed they were “neck and neck” in the RoY “race”. SMDH. Saying Angel Reese is on level with Caitlin Clark is like saying Bill Laimbeer is on level with Michael Jordan.

"This is the mind of an amazing playmaker" It all starts with the brain. In a lot of videos, the commentator talks about Clark's 3pt shooting or her passing. Of course those things are important, but what sets Clark apart (and other GOATs like Magic, Bird, Jordan, Doncic, etc) is that they think faster than their opponents. They process, analyze, adjust, and readjust in real time. And because they're thinking faster than everyone else, they end up imposing THEIR pace on the game.

Don't let anybody put you in a box called "potential". You don't need credentials, but you should have no trouble obtaining them should you wish. I was an agent for the agency that represented about 90% of the professional women ballers.. back in the day before the WNBA, and you have reignited my love for the women's game. Keep on going my young friend 🤩. Keep channeling John Madden Stuart Scott and Dick Vitale and all the other more recent great announcers that I probably have missed. All I can tell you young man is that I have watched and listened to the coverage of an untold number of sporting events... And your presentations are among the very most appealing. I won't give me one more oddly specific sounding piece of advice: we are living in extraordinarily tragic times, so it might behoove you to watch, for example, the coverage of the 1972 Munich Olympics... And the coverage of the Oakland earthquake. These are times where sportscasters kept their heads and transcended their genre, producing some of the more compelling coverage of major historical events. Love your enthusiasm. Your analysis? You nailed it. Keep the videos coming. Nobody on the Fever was sulking about not making the Olympic team. Clearly they worked hard at shooting and conditioning during the break after getting a well deserved week off. This game was FUN to watch. Between Lexi and Kelsey’s three point shots, Clark’s development of her mid range jumper, and Boston’s rebounding and assists…they have the potential to win a lot more games this season. And Clark’s passing? Nothing short of brilliant.

I'm so happy for Lexie! In the beginning of the season, she wasn't taking these wide open shots and eat the ball or pass it. Lexie can average 8 points on fast breaks alone. I agree that Smitty is being phased out and Marie Lue is getting a larger role. The Fever has 7 players that are playing their roles to a T. The real question is: Who can guard Kelsey Mitchell? Cooper couldn't and Female AI (Chenessey) can't. KM is playing with so much confidence and she isn't making a bunch of turnovers like early in the year. Playoffs here we come!!!

One thing that is obvious is the notable difference in the arc between KM's and CC's 3s. CC had quite a few 3s bang off the front of the rim. Also both KM and CC had great full speed transition layups that simply smoked the defense. Helps keep the defense honest.

I might be fixated on this, but I wish the Fever would give Kelsey Mitchell more love. She appears ready to leave Indiana. If it is because of money, they should do all they can to pay her. But there is a lot of talk of her being uncomfortable with her new role on the team. They could combat this by highlighting her more in interviews. Maybe a few "we couldn't have done it without Kelsey tonight" or "Kelsey has been on fire!" comments might make her feel appreciated. Also, I think in a post-game on-court interview, Lexie was asked about her game and she said something like "if you get to your spot, CC will find you" but it was actually AB that assisted on 3 of her 6 threes. CC, Katie Lou, and Mitchell assisted on the other 3.

I don't want to be superstitious or anything, but I don't want to see the Fever get overconfident after these two wins. Especially today's win. Keep it real and keep on repeating, "one game at a time" Don't think about how well we did in the last game just concentrate on doing good in THIS game. Yeah sure, remember the last game and try to replicate it, but don't ASSUME that "we got this" but instead "we can do this!"

Mitchell ‘s shot has a very high trajectory which makes the hoop effectively larger. However, if you notice Caitlin’s shot is coming out of her hand with a lower trajectory which has two effects, (1) the rim is effectively smaller and so her shot doesn’t have as much room for error as does Mitchell’s; (2) a lower trajectory doesn’t go as far as a higher trajectory. Caitlin’s shot is too flat and you notice it’s coming up short and hitting the front of the rim. It’s not because her legs are tired because she was missing the shots in the first half. It’s because her trajectory needs adjusted to a higher angle which will make her shot go slightly further and make the rim be effectively larger. Someone needs to point this out to her. I know about trajectory angles because I play golf and also shoot 3s in my spare time. Look at Steph Curry’s shot and it has so much more height than Caitlin’s. Cc needs to fix her trajectory to become more efficient.

@gummybeer119
@gummybeer119 24 күн бұрын
Yes. This is why her percentage is higher from further out. She launches it a little differently, with more arc on it. I think she knows too, because she made adjustments that resulted in a couple hitting the back iron later on. It's gonna take awhile to cement any change in her form.
@casilatino
@casilatino 24 күн бұрын
She shot a floater inside the free throw line which had nice arc on it and it was all net. She must know her arc is flatter than optimal, especially if she looks at Curry’s trajectory.

Yes when CC crosses over the three point line her defender always has been thinking that Cc is going to the hoop. But Cc stops and hits the mid range shot. If CC keeps hitting this mid range shot then the defender is going to have to stick closer to Caitlin which will give Cc a better opportunity to get past her defender.

Kelsey Mitchell is totally underrated as a 3 point shooter. She's been hitting them ever since the all star game. I hope she doesn't take too much notice of the hype surrounding Caitlin Clark and her shooting prowess and wonder why she's not getting the same recognition... All she has to do is get herself into good positions and Caitlin Clark will find her and get the ball to her to score.
