Alex, I was received into the church yesterday after a 25 year long walk home. That's half of my life. Last seven years in Eastern Orthodoxy. Now I am home. Thank you for helping us all reach home safely. You are all part of the process, Alex, Bryan M, Trent H and Michael L and of course our man, the one and only Jimmy A. God bless!

I'm Muslim but very good advice that can be applied to any religion. The biggest obstacle is like you said, the most knowledgeable people in religion usually do not engage in the culture at all and usually stick to education or writing books.

I’m an ordinary Catholic, so no special expertise, but when I read ‘graven images’ I think of things like the golden calf or perhaps the Buddha I.e. images of a false God. It’s mistaken to say we worship statues and images. Standing in front of a statue and praying is not worshiping it. It acts as a reminder, a mental concentrator. Also, Protestants and Catholics often have a different take on worship. For Catholics, the mass is when and where we worship God. Praying involves praise and thanks and lastly, petitions. That is different to worship.

Good stuff. The Catholic faith is beautiful, but for some reason(s) Catholics don’t ever evangelize. Even most of the Catholic content creators don’t ever really share the gospel. They’re usually talking about church politics, legalism, church history, etc. Guys like Fr Mike Schmitz are a gem.

🚨An individual who makes a profit from our Fathers words telling people how to evangelize⁉️ 🕊️To Evangelize is a gift given by the Holy Spirit and it’s the Holy Spirit who decides who will obtain that gift❗️ Money exposes this individual❗️He has not been given the gift to evangelize❗️

You have all the answers? 1. Why does Roman Catholicism reject God's Law in Deuteronomy 4:16, which says, "Lest ye corrupt yourselves, and make you a graven image, the similitude of any figure, the likeness of male or female.." Roman Catholic churches and homes are full of statues made in the likeness of males and females (i.e. Jesus, Mary, & the saints). And if your only response is that God told Moses to create idols (ark with cherubims) for Israelites to bow down to, then I'll know you don't have a proper answer. Why? Because an ark with genderless beings on top is not equal to male and female statues; PLUS, God, nowhere, commanded Roman Catholics to build male and female statues. Show me where He did, and I'll go and grab my first Mary statue to pray to. I guarantee, NONE of the apostles would have rejected Deut. 4:16 or condoned your worship/veneration of male and female statues. 2. Why does your catechism's Traditional Catechetical Formula for Exodus 20:2-17, completely leave out anything mentioned in verses 4-6 relating to graven images and bowing down to them? As you know, the "Traditional Catechetical Formula" is what is included in your catechism books that are sent to Sunday schools and local archdioceses for learning and instruction, which is basically a watered-down interpretation. 3. So, how can any Catholic rightly divide the Word of God when all they have to go by is the watered-down interpretation of the magisterium (i.e. TCF)?

The bible is a gift to the world by the Catholic church and so interpretation of the meaning of whats in the bible is best left to them to interpret. I enjoyed listening to this podcast👍

@@vampyresgraveyard3307 So bowing down to actual angels from Heaven is what Catholics are doing when they bow to wooden or porcelain statues that look either male or female? No, I'm sorry, but when you bow to a male or female statue made with the hands of man, you are rejecting Deuteronomy 4:16, God's commandment.

Let's start with the truth, The Bible does not explicitly establish a papal office (Acts 15:1-29; 1 Peter 5:1-3). Historical evidence indicates that Peter did not found the Church in Rome (Romans 1:1-7; Romans 15:20). Jesus, not Peter, is the true rock and foundation of the Church (Matthew 16:18; 1 Corinthians 3:11). Early church teachings and writings emphasize shared leadership rather than papal supremacy. The formal declaration of papal infallibility in 1870 raises critical questions about its legitimacy. Scripture (2 Timothy 3:16; Matthew 16:19) and historical analysis challenge the idea that any human office holds ultimate spiritual authority. The moral failings of some past popes and the Bible’s consistent emphasis on Christ as the cornerstone (Ephesians 2:20) further highlight this truth. Additionally, Peter was openly rebuked by both Jesus and Paul (Matthew 16:23; Galatians 2:11-14), demonstrating that even key leaders in the early Church were fallible. After 2,000 years, it’s no surprise that humanity continues to err when straying from God’s instructions as revealed through Scripture. Lastly, we are saved by grace through faith. Anyone who teaches otherwise is not aligned with the truth. To evangelize effectively, you must understand and share the true good news: salvation comes through Christ alone, by grace alone, through faith alone. The moment you impose the Catholic yoke of works-based salvation, you burden others with a system that contradicts the gospel's message of freedom and grace.
