The structure of the building itself is designed only to support itself as to dead loads and imposed live loads such as wind and snow and earthquake/seismic loads. The structure would not typically be able to support a gantry crane (I'm under the belief you're talking like an overhead travelling crane (EOT) on crane rails). However one could specify heavier columns/bracing such as to support an EOT crane with crane-rail supports, etc.. The other "solution" would be a gantry crane on tires with a thicker floor slab but then everytime you move it you have to ensure there is a clear path. Steel building prices are all over the map depending on size, span, etc. plus other features like roof insulation, sidewall insulation, and MEP (mechanical (HVAC), electrical, plumbing) systems, etc. Best to get a quote from a couple of reputable manufacturers / builders with these structures.
