Dude, screw the people complaining about cuts. Your videos are awesome.

Forget anyone complaining about jump cuts. Unless they have seizures as a result of the jump cuts or they just don't like clean and professional videos then there's no reason not to use them. Personally, I don't want to watch a video that's 10 minutes long and has 6 minutes of wasted time from trying to find the right words or getting off topic and rambling. Keep doing what you've been doing and edit and cleanup your videos because you get to the point and cover quite a bit in such little time, and you do it in an articulated way. Also, excellent video as always, now I just need to apply your advice to my practice routines.

I bought West side discs - King, a high speed disc with 14 speed, 5 glide, 4 fade and -1 turn. In the beginning, this was too much for my arm, but it VERY QUICKLY got super beat in, and now....well, that fade and turn basicly switched numbers. I threw the King flat on headwind, and it turned 360 degrees around. And it is an amazingly understable disc now that i have only seen in a beat in valkyrie. Can't wait to start utilising it as a roller!!

Don't worry about the haters. I like the cuts. I always like when you show examples of the throws. Makes it 10 times better with visuals. Great content here as always.

I wouldn't have noticed the 'um's without the counter. Remember that you'll probably be more critical than most people watching it.

This. Your train of thought to vocalizing is extremely fluid and real. You actually have a whole lot less Uh's and Um's than most every one else on modern communicating. Use edits, feel free, find the balance between smooth editing and flow. To many you tubers are falling into the crutch of editing every other sentence. It's cliche'. Keep doing what you're doing Danny. Much appreciated.

Another great topic, Danny. I would love to see one on how you and others handle poison ivy/oak/sumac. I am interested wash-up routine for body/gear more than what to do once you have a rash, since that seems pretty standard. I've tried all sorts of things to remove urishiol and found Tecnu works best so far. An alcohol bath also seems to help before extensive scrubbing with soap. Cheers!

I need to work on the roller! Thanks for the video. My piece of advice, keep the jump cuts to keep the video flowing more smoothly. And congrats to Will S on winning the disc!

JUMP CUTS!!? Are you kidding me?Who the .....who cares? You got the best dg vids on yt ! Anyone complaining about your vids would complain about winning the lottery. Some people? Keep doing your thing. If they don’t like your videos then they can make their own and show us all how it’s done.

I sometimes throw rollers like a tomahawk overhead but throw it really close to the ground. It rolls out far but isnt accurate so ill try throwing them the way you explained.

Great video, Danny. I too think the jump cuts are just fine, and can even offer some comic relief. The self-deprecating comments can be entertaining too, but the um-counter is going too far. It was so distracting! I really don't notice those in your usual videos and appreciate your conversational style. Thanks for your perspective on rollers. I'm still curious about strategy for aiming your roller relative to the target/final position of the disc. Where do you aim?! Keep up the great work!

I've always found practical information in all your videos. Next time you do a self critique of one of your videos remember the lyrics of the old Johnny Mercer song: accentuate the positive, eliminate the negative, latch on to the affirmative and don't mess with mr. in-between.

Nice video, Danny. I'm new to rollers, lots of good info here. I'm sure that I'm hitting the ground too early on my BH rollers, just like you mention; I gotta get more rainbow arc and air. With forehand rollers, I assume a player can't get as much air (and hence distance), right? That's more of a line drive shot than an arc, it would seem. Thanks again for your videos.
@DannyLindahl7 жыл бұрын
Most people throw forehand rollers to get out of trouble or for a more accurate shot and therefore don't have them hit the ground so soon. But the same logic applies to forehand rollers. If you're throwing one for maximum distance you want to let it get some air. This doesn't happen often at all because a backhand roller is much more powerful. Great question!

Definitely don't mind umms or jump cuts, I guess if you practice this more it might save you a few minutes of editing though since you won't feel the need to jump cut as much.

Keep the cuts. They are fun. These are YOUR vids. The reason they are popular is because they are YOU. and your info is killer so if the haters can't see the info through the cuts they are missing the point.

I don't see the problem with jump cuts, everyone edits. And the "um" counter is distracting. You have too much talent and knowledge to be so self conscience. Buck up soldier and do your thing.
