This is how you can get that vinyl off / tape stop effect that you hear a lot in lofi, trap, boom bap, etc, all in FL Studio 20.

and for every other length… 1. get dblue tapestop (free) 2. put on master 3. open 4. right click “trigger” -> automate 5. adjust automation to your liking keep in mind the effect will trigger at the point where your automation crosses 50%

@@RubinLisky same been using Dblue since like 2013. I just do by tape stops when tracking/mixing in Pro Tools now though unless it’s part the production’s arrangement. PT has Vari-Fi and it’s far better than both these methods.

If you have a midi keyboard with knobs on it, you can assign the tape stop to the knob and record it manually which i find quicker and easier

or you could just use hold that bar instead of adding points in automation clip, it does the same thing. tightening it in gross beat by bringing the start of the curve to the very top will make a quicker vinyl stop

There is a cleaner way to do this make a pre master and route everything there it makes it so you have an extra mixer channel to add plug-ins plus you can use it to add volume control to your track

U can automate the mute solo too to prevent any possibility for accidentally leaving some of the wet signal in which can cause phase issues

Cause it'll keep it, for example, 98% dry and 2% wet, which will merge together and due to the slight difference in the signal between the two it'll clash and phase together nastily

But the automation clip has to be the length of the entire track and the parts of it zeroed out you don't want a wet signal on lol it's simple
