My introduction to Phil was watching his original run of Dark Souls, where he never knew where to go or what to do. I thought it seemed reasonable to get lost in the game. It's a tough game. I then realized he asks for help on every game. I realized after that that Phil is one of those people that needs his hand held doing even the simplest task. I would not trust him to even competently mop floors.

I don' think phil being "cancelled" would have that much of an effect as people think. DSP likes controversy and so while he'd lose places like twitch, he'd be on dlive and other sources so fast and he'd have an actual audience due to the amount of people who go "he got cancelled, means he's worth checking out" and, honestly he'd probably be happier. Also he might not know it, but he's really happy he played on medium and not classic. This would have been a cancelled playthrough by the time of the race. he would not have finished it on classic. But if that wasn't enough, had he somehow my hook or by crook got past it (or by reducing the difficulty for it then jumping it back up, like a significant amount did) he would NOT have gotten past the canadian job chase scene.
