Actually every Resident Evil game that gives you a choice of character managed to make them feel unique anddifferent from one another. Even in 5, Sheva has optional passages in alot of levels. I really hope they nail it again with 7. I always loved playing the game from different perspectives.

Yeah it was rather silly on Capcom's end, you need to beat the game first then it straight up tells you the difficulty levels. Basically it lets you pick from Very Easy, Easy and Normal for the first play through of which DSP picked Easy but wasn't his fault whatsoever.

Jon Snow That's because they added a Very Easy difficulty option for the HD Remaster. On the original Gamecube version there were only two options initially available, Easy or Normal, with Hard being unlocked once you finish the game.

26:57 While it is true that Chris has more health than Jill and he's playing on Easy, the main reason he's not even in Caution is because those dogs kept using their knockdown attack, which you can escape without taking damage if you mash fast enough. It's not like the zombies, where you're forced to take a bite before being able to escape if they grab you (assuming you don't have or don't use a defense item, of course). Basically, he got mad lucky, dood!

I totally agree with DSP about the difficulty select thing, it's really unintuitive. I had the same problem when I first played the game. If you're gonna have a selection of 3 difficulties any normal person who is familiar with games is gonna think "easy normal hard", but it's actually "very easy easy normal". The worst part is if you do second/third/etc playthroughs it shows you explicitly what the difficulties are without being cryptic about it. It's a bad difficulty select screen any way you look at it. You shouldn't have to do a google search to figure out what difficulty is "normal", that's absurd.

It wasn't hard before the remaster because in the original GameCube release, there were only two on a fresh New Game. Normal and Easy. Adding Very Easy was a bad decision imo, however I do agree that they should've changed the name scheme if they were adamant to add Very Easy.

I know KosherAlien earned his keep by making a damn fine TIHYDP but there's something off-putting about planning a "This is how you DON'T make an, This is how you DON'T play" since not only did it mean KosherAlien was planning on doing two other videos, but he also had the idea of showing people's attempts at making these type of videos and make it into a TIHYDP montage as well. I would have liked a Part 2 but making a video presumably to jab at people making TIHYDPs instead of just straight up giving them tips to improve is not cool.

In DSP's defence, the game doesn't make that entirely clear what the difficulties are. (You'd associate "Mountain Climbing" with Hard Mode , that, and you can't unlock Hard until you beat it at least once anyway). Doesn't excuse the rest of it though.

LuigiEspadachin Yeah I did the same thing as DSP did, and thought it was hard, normal, and easy. I never played the GC version but have seen a ton of videos of it. I think what made me think that is I didn't know they were adding a very easy difficulty to the game. Glad I choose easy tho since beating the game on normal unlocks ODZ which can make the game harder, or easier if you are good enough.
