Not for me, I specialise in Anti Air. 30mm cannons, autolock missile, Zoom, Active protection and then i place a trophy system and flares down. Locate myself in a covered spot between the centre of map and deployment to use the base AA cannon spotter when things get hot.

The decline of my love for battlefield started at bf1. I started by playing bad company 2 at a young age > bf3 > bf4... Those games were 10/10s I swear. I enjoyed bf1 for the first few months but something about historic themed warfare put me off, I prefer modern shi. Ive switched to Rainbow six siege, I've tried bf5, I enjoyed the beta but I don't plan on ever buying it. R6 is as tactical as ever when it comes to fps, so it was a pleasing transition from bf to r6. I've started to play bf4 again I missed the large scale combat.... You know, history is something that you should at least try to respect it, its because is not an modern warfare its bad? Of course no, the game despite some bad choices of marketing the game holds up pretty well against most of the Battlefield games, it is the only one that show an grounded thematic without being so funny. For me I don't like bf5/bf1 vehicle gameplay is because there just arent enough vehicles to fight. When I'm in the LAV I take on jets, helis, tanks, AAs and jeeps when I'm in a tank on bf1 I kill the other tank and now I have to wait 5 minutes before another one spawns on their team. Fun.

Recently played a rush match in Battlefield 3 against a couple of sweaty tryhards who were pretty much just farming kills effortlessly while their gunner just casually shot down every single chopper we tried to bring up against them with TV missiles, from very long range mind you. It was pretty aggravating to watch their kill counters reach 3 digits knowing they were the sole reason we lost the defense. Soul crushing stuff, but there's nothing you can do about it unless you have equally talented pilots on the other team.

I consider myself a pretty good Heli pilot in BF4, my brother is always the gunner and usually has between 50 and 100 kills per round... However... I can't get a grip of the TOW. For hundreds of hours, I've been only able to hit either static or slow moving targets, and when I shoot jet or helicopter it's mostly luck. Followed tutorials, practiced... But it seems you also need talent for that...

Flying Helis in BF3 was just hovering with heat seekers while the gunner had a Thermal Scope and unlimited ammo farming ppl all day on all maps with 0 counters except for other Helis and Jets. Even Soflam + Javelin was useless because if you hover away from the lock you are 100% safe.

Reminds me of the bf3 days when me and a dude from my clan would play like this with the attack heli... Was awesome! One game which I remember was god tier was when we were waiting for the Heli to spawn after someone got lucky with an RPG... Both the enemy jets came to attack us in spawn while we waiting for the next chopper... We simultaneously took them both down with an RPG each!

Nice flying but ill admit you guys are so good it makes BF4 not as fun sometimes because you have guys who just dominate everyone and when i play on servers with guys like that every time i want to fly the attack heli or want to be a gunner they sit on the ground and tell me to get out of the heli because they want their friend to be with them. I get out because i can understand people want to fly with their friends thats what i would want if i was playing with a friend too but it does ruin the experience a bit for me. Attack helis are the most overpowerd or hardest vehicle to defend against because all defense against them either get laughed at by the helis counter measures or the ground defense has been nerfed so hard its useless, e.g lock on time for stingers, and how the active defense on vehicles was nerfed to be active shorter, Cooldwon time longer, splashdamage from heli fire has never been nerfed yet tank and AA have etc etc, screw dice people shouldn't get 140 to 1 or 2 deaths in helis on a 64 player match obviously something is not right and unbalance. Having a feature that gives your vehicle 30hp more when critical is just OP plain and simple. If you like whoring the heli you are just an exploiter and sad. This is everything wrong with bf4 in this video.

I loved using the fire extinguisher in the Scout Helo. Tied with the fast reload perk the cool down on fire extinguisher went from 16.2 seconds to 8.1 seconds. Making the Scout Helo harder to knock out as long as the pilot is breaking lock-ons often and flying low.

Nah, nothing to do with me being farmed or mad cuz bad. I just think players in general shouldnt be able to swap seats so fast. Didnt they remove the gunners flares for a reason because heli pilots had never ending flares? This technique or exploit pretty much would give you infinite counter measures by swapping seats right or am I wrong? Or at least a much less cool down time. An exploit to me is when a player takes advantage of a game's mechanics in a way they were unintended to be used. I'm 99% sure DICE didnt intend the vehicles counter measures to be used in this way by 2 players and if it a was more common problem I'm sure they would of patched it. In terms of vehicle gameplay. I think its obnoxious that one of the top heli techniques for success is doing clown acrobatics outside of the vehicle to swap seats instead of what the pilot and gunner can consistently do at their controls. At least the rendezook is a one man stunt that doesnt give any advantage over other players. I dont mind that battlefield 3 and 4 are unrealistic and the crazy stuff you can do is what can make it fun. But this heli thing is clearly a exploit of the games mechanics.

All BF games were like that. Jets and Helis usually dominated the game. They require the highest skill and once you touch the skill ceiling only bullshit and luck can kill you. If anything you should blame current BF players for not being good enough and learn how to deal with shit in the game. People are still farming 70+ kills in Siege of Shangai because mongoloids still camp on roofs with Snipers instead of using fucking AA mines, Sraws, Iglas, Smaws, Ucavs, Mavs, Boats etc to take down the Helicopter lmao

My main guys I played bf4 with for a bit over 2 years where some of the highest ranked chopper players in the world Mateo 20mm and Apex crocodile, there was a few more one was the guy who had the most attack jet kills in the world he was a north American guy (can't think of his name, met him a month or two before I stopped playing)who had over 200k kills, never got fed up of bf4 I just had to move on I felt and I haven't enjoyed a battlefield game since they've just got progressively worse with more animations that just interrupt the flow of the game

Why not vehicle animations with the ability to cancel so you can address incoming fire. Ex. Youre about to enter a vehicle, take incoming, press the crouch button, cut the animation and return fire, then if you kill said enemy, press the enter button, and the rest of the animation plays.

first of all, i think that in bf6 aa gun should be nerfed not against choppers but against jets, cuz right now it literally creates a no phly zone across the map with active radar missiles. also vehicles do need some penalty against infantry, perhaps with the animations u mentioned...

As a solo player, i absolutely hate using vehicles because of stupid teammates. Whether its someone who doesnt know how to fly (oi bruv, the test range exists for a reason, so theres no reason for you to be a dogshit pilot), someone who doesnt know how to fly smart (why tf are you going to fly right in the air with no cover instead of staying near the ground where you wont be seen as easily), or some stupid fucker who constantly gets on a gun and shoots at nothing and gives our position away. Really sucks that i have nobody to really play with on ps4 so im limited to bad teammates and bad times

gave a like for nice skills but reality is that you typically play against not pro. otherwise your score would be not that good. they are not pro, they do not cooperate, they do not even talk to one another so frankly you are a nightmare and ruin their and my fun. join a custom server. no HP recovery or possibility to look behind in an aircraft. it will be more challenging to you while you let other to have their fun too

Just played against a team like this, had 2 helicopters 1 tanks and 2 snipers, clapped snippers easy but kept getting chased dowm by their helicopter buddies
