Craters Of The Moon, been there early in my Vanlife career, and was one of my fave memories. Thanks for bringing those memories forward in my mushy brain. Thx !

Idiots aren’t limited to Yellowstone. They show up in every National Park. It’s a shame it was a church group and that makes me sad. The video is great! Beddy’s looks like a great idea. Cottonwood is now on my list!

It really sucks seeing people damage or disrupt nature at all the parks. It’s so common and does not make sense to us, but I guess humans are just complacent and do not respect nature the way I was taught to. Very sad indeed. Cottonwood is such a cool place and worth the visit for sure! And definitely check out beddys. We absolutely love them and have owned 3 now (4 if you include we had to buy two for the twin beds of the Ekko).

I'm thinking that the Cottonwood Campground that you stayed at isn't owned by the Forest Service, it has to be the one that's owned by the BLM since it goes along a river called the Upper Salmon River.

It had just gone through a huge renovation (adding fencing after reinforcing the shore line, fresh gravel, etc). It previous was BLM, but all the new signs show National Forest Service and the payment envelopes were NFS. We were confused when we found it because online it showed it was managed by the BLM, but the camp host and other guest told us they had to completely redone the sites and recreation area. So thinking it possibly was something to do with funding? Truly no idea, but we just went by what the host and signs said.
