stunning....stunning... stunning... edit pacing, music (that jazz drip in the middle = chef's kiss), sound design, obviously the shots (them locked frame shots got me all moistness).... ladies and gents, this is the forefront of snow cinematography right here... and at an event, published a couple of day after the event finished.... mental. big ups to all the teams of people that made this thing happen. would be interesting to know if you meassure the height from the takeoff or landing.. since the landing is a bit higher where they land than where they take off..
@SwatchNines8 ай бұрын
From the take off it’s measured how high they go. The landing is a little higher for safety reasons, but most riders land way deeper. :)
@jamesplaum19278 ай бұрын
@@SwatchNines so theoreticly you could shape a 40m high landing and if they take of at 10m and kind of ride it as „step up“ (kind of like the side jump to hip landing this year) it would still count as a 30m air if they land all the way on top of the landing? i know the numbers are unrealistic but just in a smaller scale..
@SwatchNines8 ай бұрын
@@jamesplaum1927 please read our answer again, check the video and you might understand. The landing is only a little bit higher to prevent people from decking heavily after hitting the take off in a slightly wrong way. If they jump straight like the hip jumps are intended to be hit they would land lower than the take off. How you're describing it, it for sure doesn't count but just check out the video and the record parts again and maybe it makes sense!

@@jamesplaum1927bro come on… use your brain 😂
@jamesplaum19278 ай бұрын
@@SwatchNines i‘m not saying that this 3 records which were set are not valid. also i think this i a legit setup, even tho the landing in slightly higher. but i‘m just questioning the „rules“ of a world record jump in general. since it‘s more safe to jump up (stepup) then jump down (stepdown).

Great work as usual, but perhaps one criticism: too many looping drone shots for my taste. The drone follow shots that end up looping make you lose all sense of size and distance from the jump, and I find they really spoil some shots. From my point of view, it makes for nice transition shots, but completely detracts from the beauty of certain tricks. We remain human, and it is difficult to project oneself when the point of view is not at least somewhat stable and roughly at the same height as the rider. Hence the success of stabilizers at one time

So cool. But what I don’t get is that some freestylers still don’t wear a helmet. There is the same event for Mountainbike and no one would even consider not to wear a helmet

Most wear a helmet especially when hitting the big hip, but it’s still a free choice to wear one or not.
