I feel so bad for you and Jaye. I live in Dallas but traveled to Conway many times and drove over the Lake on I-40 wishing I was fishing those Cypress stumps. You have a great fishing show and I watch them Daily. I hope your Lake comes back better than ever, very soon.

I hate that there just gonna die out there when all the water is gone. I hate your having to struggle just to get back there to catch them.I’m gonna miss all the wildlife and the beautiful pictures of the lake.Be safe and have fun love to your family.

October 25th, Lake Conway is at 258.85. It looks like it's only dropping at about 1-2 feet per week. I've heard the headwall or base of the old dam is at around 250'. Soon, the creeks that were impounded in 1948 (Palarm Creek, Stone Dam Creek and Chadwick Creek) will start to show their primitive route through this area. In 1948, we lost them, but these creeks aren't lost forever. They're still there doing what they've always done and seeing them in their Natural State will be fascinating! Yes, you must go back and and keep as many as you catch even the big ones. the alternative is they dry up and die in them shrinking pools of water. To bad you don't have an ATV it wouldn't sink in that muddy bottom. Most of them will go in water even if they can't touch the bottom. Thats' some great fishing and a cool lake

Hey Cole, a couple things. First of all, you need an airboat with that big fan to motor you over that mess until you get to those other places. Second, I was wondering if you regret throwing the biggins back onto the water? If the water is indeed drying up and leaving then truly a fish out of water, wouldn't it be better in your belly than to be stuck with no water?

Great video! Aside from the fishing itself, those egrets were awesome. They are feasting on the shallow concentrated fish, too! Definitely want to see you fish the creek channel from the bank when dry enough. With so many fish and no limit, I'm surprised other fishermen weren't out there. Too lazy, maybe! With the lake dropping faster than expected, my hope is the AGFC objective will be reached sooner and the lake level return quicker than expected. One can only hope!

Why didn't you just ride a four wheeler? 🤣🤣🤣 In South Louisiana, they have a Mudboat. Which can be done to your kayak. If I recall right, it's a brass blade. Then a shaft that angles into the hull driven by a small motor. 3.5, 5.5 h.p. Whatever you like. It might have more pitch or something to push more mud. It's hard to recall. Which you can get access to hidden ponds and such. Guess it's sort of a 4 wheeler in a boat. I think it's a skeg, skag where it can go deeper or shallower. Nicholas Poret has a book on making a Cypress Pirogue. Which somebody needs to buy this for C&J. Where they at, there should be some backwoods sawmills cutting Cypress or eventually. Where decent prices might be found. Instead of the artificial plastic Kayak.

If I was in your shoes and could fish all I want I would keep everything and what I don't want for my freezer I would give them to anyone who would take them. There are lots of us people who can't get out to fish for our selves and that way you can truly save more fish some of us like the big ones. You can help others to stock up with good fish and still have fun doing what you love.😊
