Although art is subjective, my opinion is the cube represents hate/discrimination. Discrimination represented as people with disabilities, people that want to marry but can't (faceless haters pointing causing chaos at wedding hall), women in leadership roles(IU's character leads V's character). All hate would destroy society. The camera represents what life could be like with no hate/discrimination in the world. IU and V fight for their love (teasing the faceless haters), and love transcends even death. Love Wins All. 💜

IU is a very unique singer and is known as a national treasure in South Korea. She encountered financial difficulties in her family when she was a child, so she determined to become an "adult" who could support her own life earlier. Loved this and thought they have done a great job selling this story, I've cried at least 10 times watching this and I'm not normally a crier at all. IU has done several things with BTS members, especially Suga - they have collaborated on a song and each has been a guest on the other's talk shows Palette and Suchwita. They all seem to be good friends. I heard a theory that the cube and the haters could also be the comments and expectations that idols and celebrities are supposed to live up to where the media and some fans slam them for any little flaw as they are expected to be perfect. It reminded me of a clip I saw once where V introduced a pimple on his face to the camera and told everyone to give it much love as it would probably be visiting for about a week....lol

I watched the MV and behind the scenes right before coming to your reaction... I'm not okay, even through your reaction I'm like 😭It was done so well, the acting is on point, the angelic voice is incredible, and the lyrics are so good. I've had feels before but this one takes the cake, probably one of the rare songs that I couldn't listen to live without being a mess. That's just how great that was. IU and V are good friends. In the behind-the-scenes they're just adorable, like siblings. For his solo album promotion, V appeared on IU's talkshow "IU's Palette", and they sang a cover of her song "Ending Scence" and their voices just sound very beautiful together, her clear piercing vocals and his smooth deep baritone. The behind the scenes: * [IU TV] I caught the flu that day..😷 ㅣ 'Love wins all' MV BTS * [EPISODE] 'Love wins all’ MV Shoot Sketch IU and Suga (another BTS member) are great friends for a long time. They've collaborated on two songs. The first is her song "eight", where he featured, co-wrote, and produced. The second is his song, "People Pt. 2". Both songs won awards. When Suga appeared on her show to promote his solo album, they performed both songs. There are MVs as well. Another BTS member who had appeared on her talkshow is J-hope, and they performed her song "Pierrot Laughs at Us" and his song "Equal Sign". Both amazing songs. "Enjoy BTS More" posts these performances with good English subtitles. You might have to search directly from the channel if the videos don't come up in regular search.

Here is some extra info about the music video... Director Um Tae Hwa released a guide explaining the MV and gave 4 Key points. First, the "cube" signified the discrimination and oppression that are prevalent in the daily lives of the main characters. Second, the "camcorder" represents the "lens of love," an important "device" that allows us to look at the beautiful things in the world beyond the internal or external appearance of the characters. Third, IU and BTS V became the main characters in a "survival story of a dystopian worldview of someone who cannot speak and sees the world only through his left eye." Despite the difficulty, feeling hurt and exhausted, they relied on each other despite "cube" and tried to overcome it in the end. Fourth and last, the "wedding dress and tuxedo" symbolize the "fruit of love." At the end where their clothes are seen rising in the air, it depicts that they are finally "free to fly away from all kinds of oppression and pressure." Have a wonderful day💜

Well, I ugly cry when I watch this. This is how the video speaks to ME (not saying this is the right take, but how I take it), it represents my view of aging with a partner, knowing that someday death will come for you. You cannot run or hide from it. My dad toward the end of his life was blind. My mom had a massive stroke & couldn't speak. As you age together you still "see' your partner as they were when you were young. I look at myself in the mirror & get startled sometimes!! I forget I am 51 years old!! When I see pics of my husband & I, it is like seeing strangers lol! Taehyung & IU using the video camera is like when I revisit my wedding album pictures from almost 30 years ago!!

The director commented on a few things - as you noticed she is deaf and mute, and he is half blind. Her lip piercing is supposed to indicate that she can't speak/communicate well with the world. He said that the cubes represent discrimination or oppression that we experience in our daily lives, and that the camera lens represents the love they have for each other - so through love despite the world crumbling around them they see only the best in each other. The masked people represent a society that didn't accept them due to their disabilities (which could also be just anything about a person that doesn't conform to social norms), but we see how together they were so happy and in love that nothing else mattered. The camera scene at the end with them ascending represents them finally escaping all the difficulties and struggle of this world - together until the end and it hit me how the camera (their love) battery dies just as the cube vaporizes them. The director said that the clothing falling was kind of meant to make us ponder what a person is - are they just the form we see from the outside or the intangible stuff on the inside - their hopes, dreams, efforts, ambitions, love? Super deep stuff.

I don't know how many men I saw falling apart watching this MV . I wonder if it's because people who really love music (and not only like music) are more sensitive ?🤔 I listend and liked IU before hearing this song before and I wanted support her but I couldn't get me to rewatch it at first . I only did it when I watch other people react to it!

Hello there, I love your Reaction, in fact I just watched your Reaction to BTS ( Black Swan ) that’s how I found your Channel, the Guy in Black Swan you had said you could Watch his part on loop ( with the black wavy hair ) is in fact the Same Guy in this Video, His Name is V or ( Taehyung ) or if it’s easier to say ( Tae - Young ) but I wouldn’t of found your Channel and started Watching other Videos if it weren’t Recommended to Me that you Watched BTSs Black Swan. I loved his acting here and I loved his part in Black Swan!! I knew he was a member of BTS when I made this but I hadn't actually seen him perform outside of this MV so I did it a little backwards lol! Thank you for watching ❤️

In 2023, around 12 Korean artists has died. Most of them committed suicide. Few of them were friends of IU and V. Lee Sun-Kyun was one of them. He played the rich dad in the oscar winning movie "Parasite" and he also starred with IU in the series "My Mister". He committed suicide on December 27 using a charcoal brick poisoning himself with Carbon monoxide. He was innocent and wronged by the government and the media. His career was destroyed overnight. The society killed him. And, I think this is IU's response to the recent tragedies. In my opinion, the cube here represents prejudice, conservative beliefs, stereotypes, the people who don't want to think outside the box. IU is mute which could represent the voice of the artist being drowned out by the noise of the media. And, V is blind in the right eye which could represent the distortion of truth by the media due to which fans can't understand the truth. The world through camcorder might represent the life of artists perceived by the world vs the actual life. All the glitter's not gold. Or, it could also be showing how the artist was treated by the society despite her trying to lead a happy life and do her best with love. The faceless people pointing, criticizing, jeering at them could be representing being bullied by the society which left the artist bruised and battered in the present. In the end, IU covering V's good eye could also be representing her trying to protect the innocence of her fans. People should understand how much power their words contain. Your words can both give and take life. Be kind, let love win.

I honestly miss ARMY commenting and helping this project. I saw a lot of reactions from many fandons but identified as "ARMY" I saw few, including in Umi's video too, just 5 million for a beautiful gift like that... sometimes it seems like the company's plan to reveal their favorite member worked. I hope that the fans with all their strength can support this beautiful project that is very important for our Baby Bear and for his dream as an actor because he worked hard before enlisting so that we could miss him a little.😮😮😮

Uh I don't know what the heck you are talking about Army loves all 7 members and have been hyping this MV up because it's the last project V got to do before he left for the military. You are clearly a solo stan who believes this ridiculous nonsense that the company that BTS built from the ground up mind you (they went from a broke tiny company to the biggest now) and they have share holders stakes in and more control then with their company the almost any other idol has or likely ever had for that matter is some how sabotaging V or any of the members.
