The Irish characters are from a show called Mrs. Browns Boys. It's absolutely hilarious. These two characters are actually married in real life.

The "irish lady" is Brandon O'Carrol, and he originated the character from Mrs. Brown's Boys in a radio dramedy in 1992. He then penned a script for a movie in 1999 called "Agnes Browne" which stars and was directed by Anjelica Hueston (Mrs. Addams from "The Addams Family" [1991] and "Addams Family Values" [1993]!). Then, the popular BBC comedy series, also titled "Mrs. Brown's Boys", started in 2011 and continues intermittently to this day and that is how the character Mrs. Brown reached international fame and wound up in this delightful sidesplitter! 😂

I am so glad you acknowledged how disgusting that particular plot was. From the moment they came on screen, and throughout the entire movie it was heavily implied, the to guys were in a relationship. Or even just that one liked/was in love with the other. Then it turns out one was sleeping with the others mother. Then had the audacity to allow Madea to make the son feel bad about being mad about it. Huh? Then went on to make him APOLOGIZE for being mad about his mother secretly sleeping with the boy he loves. As if gay people aren't suppose to be aloud to stand their ground and be mad about being done wrong, instead he's teaching those to be docile. This is the problem that people are starting to have with Tyler Perry. Jokes are jokes, fine "haha" we laugh. But when he starts creating these plots and storylines, that are usually stereotypically black, in a way that comes of as anti black and harmful to the perception of black people. In this case (and not the first time), being rather subversive in his stories about homesexuality. Which is disrespectful and counterproductive, seeing that Tyler Perry is a black man. While also tending to have a sexual ambiguity while identifying overtly as a "straight" man. He's just becoming more and more irresponsible, is it self hate (probably, idk), however people aren't wrong for noticing and calling him out.

They could've at least addressed the question of if the other guy only befriended/flirted with him just to get close to the mother and how disgusting that is. They just let him off the hook and look so innocent. As if there aren't so many layers to how wrong he is. And the mother is. But notice they did infact choose to fault and make the g*y one look like a complete dumb*ss.

Your reasons on why you didn’t like the movie are really valid. After A Madea Christmas (or after the first Boo! movie) the quality really slipped in Tyler Perry movies and some people would say his movies was never high quality which is true but there is definitely a big difference now. Like nowadays he gives the vibes that he don’t care as much as he did before, also his earlier movies were also helped out by having a lot of more experienced actors and I understand that he wants to give new actors a chance but Tyler is definitely not doing them any favors (as evidenced in this video lol). You also kinda clocked how downhill the quality and acting went when you was watching A Madea Family Funeral, which was honestly one of the better movies in this new era of Tyler Perry movies. Anyways, this was still a great reaction and you made me laugh a lot but yeah, I don’t think a lot of people will be mad at your honesty (at least I hope not 💀because we been noticing how messy Tyler’s movies have gotten too especially with that new one with Meagan Good 💀).

I feel like Tim did need apologies for how heated towards his mom dating Davi because he had no such reaction towards his father doing all he could to hurt his mother by using there friend to take away from hs mother and hiding the fact that he was going to marry sly. where was the hurt for his most loved person in his life getting hurt by his father and Tim still inviting his dad anyway despite how supportive Tims mother was being by pushing everything that she felt and wanted aside to give him every bit of importance and side into his special days and time she put every part of everything into Tims happiness

I think the reason why the cosmetics/makeup look different is because of how long it's been since they last shot a Madea film. Madea's Family Funeral was shot in 2017 with BOO 2, but released in 2019. Madea's Homecoming was shot in 2021, released in 2022. It could be the time gap.

Tyler Perry has a bad rep with Madea movies due to the negative stigma black male actors get for wearing dresses on screen to become succesful in hollywood. The list of other black male actors goes on; however, Tyler Perry unfortunatley gets the most backlash. I wouldnt personally wear one myself if i was an actor but, Tyler Perry had a deeper message he was trying to teach people when he created Madea back during his plays.
