I'm actually pretty surprised to see that you dont have an Achilles video. I run mine as a maximum speed torpedo boat and she is absolutely a monster. Mine currently has 84 knot torpedoes that reload in ~66 seconds, a top ship speed of 43.7 base, and still manages a 5.4 detectability and 3s reload. Its a dangerous play because i use give me speed instead of unstoppable, but it fights like a tier 7, and can run down anything that isnt French.

Achilles Torps hits like pillows, has no smoke, mediocre guns and low health pool. Just like the oland. They are fun ships but can't carry.

@@DanDanger514 if you say so, I absolutely have the stats with her to prove that wrong though, and I'm pretty terrible with most destroyers. Her torpedos aren't there for alpha strikes, they are there for hard to dodge torpedo sniping to force floods. Her guns are still very effective (just beat a lightning in a gunfight today because I know how to angle and he didn't), she is psychoticly fast (one of the fastest ships in the game), and still has competitive stats in every category.

Worst in the Game is by far: Mikasa at tier 2. Its main guns cant hit anything and when they do they dont do any damage. It sees tier 3 battleships and everything is faster than it is.

Dds should have the same effect when you have the rudder broken symbol. You should not be able to turn at all.

90% of ships being "bad" is the captain controlling it but there are certainly some that need some buffs and I'm not sure why it takes so long for WG to buff them

Maerker is my favorite t7 CL 😂. In all seriousness the German alt line is crazy good. Struggles with cap contesting sometimes, but played like a CL (with Rumble as inspos and gun fire control slot 4) it's cracked. Making BBs waste salvos on you or trying to watch cruisers hit you instead of spamming blue BBs is great fun.

I tried to use this thing as more of a long range annoying menace kind of boat like the Russians and French, but then I ran into that one problem Derka touched on: the terrible speed AND agility... So I thought 'Since the gun-focused commander buffs AP, maybe the N.D. has better AP performance than Akizuki.' And then I played Akizuki with primarily AP against red DDs and wouldn't ya know it, Akizuki does that better than N.D. too 🤦‍♂

That’s the thing, yes this AP is better (alpha and pen angles) BUT akizuki has the 1.7s faster reload so dpm wise it still beats ND. You’re right 😄

oh yeah this thing is trash too. I didn't mention it in the last video because I never got this ship when it was available. consider is sold for silver! Hey, im sure you are working on your "arcade Mode" video. my thoughts about it.... its great! Fun fast and I think it does a good job of teaching players how to stay alive and win games on points with no time left. and the seal clubbing potential is hilarious! lol Of course not having aircraft carriers might be the best thing about. This is the REAL training room! I think newer players are going to get better because of this mode.

"You can't just buff every ship in the game ...." WG says, "Hold my beer." Lord knows they've made nuttier decisions than this. :) I really don't like the entire Deepwater Torpedo' thing, there is simply no basis for them in reality (reality? In WOW? Crazy!). But I like a lot of the Pan-Asian ships despite this, so I just have to deal with it. DW torps do offer a few tactical ideas and, imo, a solid case could be made for having them as a pre-game OPTION, like the 'screamer' torps that can be put on the Yudachi. Valid points about the ND (surprise, surprise, I have her from a box draw). I have had reasonable games in her and I think the key to playing and enjoying such ships is going in with as few preconceptions as possible. Yeah, ND's a re-skinned Akizuki but, with all the differences, if you try to play her just like that, it isn't going to work. Some might say it aint gonna work regardless, but I disagree. Test of skill, is how I see it. I go hard on AA and Stealth for my ND build, and work on the general plan of getting as far as possible into enemy territory. Sometimes, it even works. :)

Lmao true true. I didn’t mean to dump on deep water torps that hard, I think they’re a cool mechanic and can be dangerous (look at Kirisame torp hull). They’re just slightly less useful. Btw I love that option idea, that would be cool. But if Wg did that they couldn’t sell us as many boats 😂

I knew it would be this thing. I got this out of a crate after completing forgetting about it, it took me one game to realize just how bad it is. Honorable mentions goes to GK and Algerie. I know some people like GK but they are wrong. The only good thing about it is farming it for damage.

Algerie is rough and stock grind was an absolute pain but the Charles Martel as the end reward made it all worth it.

@@teutoncross3817 agreed. That was the worst grind for me in the game, I probably should’ve used gxp to boost through it. It’s better fully upgraded of course, but it’s still sooo much worse than all the other ships in the line, and by that time I developed an intense hatred for the thing.

@@mikeD1234 algerie along with the Russian CLs taught me how to properly kite and ever since, it has become my favorite playstyle. I’ve even made my Azuma into a stealth kiter and I think that’s the best way to play it. My most played ship with average XP around 1700.

I don't really think that N. Dragon is the "worst" ship, played it in a friends account the other day and had a pretty good time in it. Believe me when I say that Shinonome is the totally worse of them all, it's supposed to be a JP torpboat but it has the worst stats ever, it's,(quite literally)a Fubuki without torps upgrade. And I assure you, those torps are so bad that you'll want to tear out your eyes

You’re right, with a 3 second reload, the AP dpm would be best in class, and it could shred (while still retaining its terrible torps, and further nerfs from Akizuki)

The Chad players have informed me Ship Smasha is really good for a reason I never really considered. The insanely low gun range means you have a small detection bloom and can stay more concealed in DD vs DD engagements. But like you, I dont think that ship is that great.

I hardly disagree. This ship is not a bad ship, he just have an high skill floor. Having only AP is bad is a myth by non dd players, in all my games with I never seen a bow tank dd and AP slaps with the better AP angles, he can still pen t6 DDs and do great damage against broadside cruisers and BBs Torps are way better, very effective against cruisers who are the biggest threat of aki because is poor maneuverability, dragon have 3 trb who are actually usable with a quick reload instead of the 240s of Aki where sometimes you only use one of them. Having deepwater torps isn’t a problem when you have torpboat concealment in a gunboat, you outspot almost every DDs Also longest smoke in the game Maybe I’m a dd main so my opinion is biased but you can’t say is the worst t7 dd when z23 exist

Texas is a fine ship for t4. Spec into Sims (if FTP) accuracy and dispersion. Myogi is deffo the WORST t4 BB. When it hits, it does damage. I've legit fired a full 6 gun (yes only 6) broadside at 8km and missed lol.
