Not only the Newcastle match but Arsenal over play possession football; in my opinion this is an instruction from the manager. This causes our play to be too slow and predictable. This works against teams when they are very attacking against us but once they go into a low block, we give them time to return and set their defence. We need the team to be more expressive and direct on transition, I personally believe this will improve Martinelli because he is not the best player trying to beat his man from a standing position but give him the ball on the run and he can be lethal when his confidence is up, he suits Liverpool style of play. Over tactical!! What is our tallest attacker no9 in Havertz doing playing on the wings instead of been in the box? We seem to overthink our patterns of play so when its not working, we seem lost ; Arteta needs to give the team a bit more freedom to express themselves in their position, we are too rigid in our tactical set up and this shows as well with his lack of use of Sterling (dribbles and direct but not the best getting back), Tierney(direct up the line then cross). Arteta does not want that. He wants his wingers to be able to cover a lot especially when inverting the right and left back positions. This first and foremost needs to change otherwise even if we go into the market and get new players the results will be the same. Saying that, we do have a great need for more clinical players.

It’s not about having same points and losing 1 game we been showing signs , these players are not stepping up we are struggling attack wise we could of won the game if we had 1 person that was clinical this manager bought 31 players and only 8 of them are descent waste of money .. this manager don’t want players that have an personality he won’t robots he can controll easier not a player that gonna demand the ball to do something with it ..we are trying to win a game and we bring on jorginhoo and zinnyyy like what is that this manager is playing suicidal football we have one of the best defense in the world hands down if played right , so why not add attackers this club been screaming for someone clinical for ages and he looks pass it every window .. saka is the only player with some balls to do anything … oour manager was at city he coached Palmer why not go for him , isakkk we literally could of gotten but he ended up at NEWCASTLE this manager priorities is out of wack that was the worst performance I’ve ever watched im tired of it … our manager goes in the after game interview and said ( the difference is that Newcastle had players that was clinical up front that’s was the difference “ okay then if you think that’s the difference in them winning WHY IN THE ACTUAL EFF haven’t we gone out and get one

Arsenal has become too defensive that the balance between defence and attack is lost. With this they have also become way too slow - the purchase of Merino to an already slow ageing side has made it worse.

I agree that we have been relying on our defence to much and that we have lost that attacking flair we had for the past couple of seasons 🤝

The team has quality. Look at most of last year. And a lot of the year before. The team are not firing on all cylinders. Yes a fresh face or two will undoubtedly help. But when they go up the gears eventually, this could still be a decent season.

What will be a decent season? Finishing second or winning a trophy? These players need to improve quickly or winning trophy’s may not be possible, I still hold hope we will improve though 🤝

​@thegoonerfactory A trophy is required this season. Second is not good enough, but an FA cup (or league cup.....its not over yet) and going deeper in Europe will signify progress. Yes the players need to get their fingers out but like yourself, I still hold out hope.

Newcastle have a centre forward who scores goals , too many players playing below what is expected of Arsenal players, we were told when Oldeguard was injured we would miss him , not he back would not notice him very poor

I think we did miss odegaard mate, the past couple of games he has been playing through illness BUT I do agree he can be performing better, like so many of these players should be 🤝

Rice looked tired, Trossard was off, Havertz was the weakest link. The difference between Harvets and Isak was very clear. It was like Isak was at home and Harvest was playing an away game. Mikel should sell Harverts no need to justify the 65 mil mistake. It happens at every club. Pepe was a mistake we had to let him go. Do the same with Deadwood Kai Harvest.

I understand the frustration with Havertz and I agree we do need a more potent striker, however … we are halfway through the season and Havertz is our top scorer with 12 goals so we still need him for now

Last season didnt work out but it should of the football we was playing was champagne why has he changed the principle so much at the end of the day he dont fix it we are all coming for his head to long we waited for the return of arsenal hes given me a semi and left and gone out drinking tbh and we as a fanbase shouldnt have it go get us atleast 1 or 2 towards ffs we have CL premier league fa cup and this cup we just got smacked in we have no depth and very little quality its obvious what is wrong with this guy ? I've heard we got around 170ms to splash out due to the windows we had why not spent 50m of it and get a winger or 2 and buy isak for like 100m or so in the summer ? Doesnt make sense

I called it this Jesus hype I wasn’t with it because I know these attackers are not good enough barring saka for eff sake the club is crying out for some quality attacker that can grab the game by the scruff for its neck and do something I’m tired and I’m slowly getting to the point of wanting this gaffer out he took us as far as he can we need someone that can get us over the line we use to be a team of beautiful controlled and attacking football and now we play football ball that bore me to the point I’ll enjoy watching another game playing than my own team like come on eff the positivity it’s 5 years 1 fa cup that a player that had a personality dragged us to win that he got rid of and never replaced the 20 plus goals in him .. I get it get rid of player that’s not ur liking but get replacement that gonna give you the same quality back

I understand stand the frustration mate, but you say you’re getting sick of the gaffer but you also said the players are not good enough so it’s also up to the club to bring in the right players which will allow the manager to win, if we bring in a new manager with the same players I’m not sure the difference will be made, I agree we need an upgrade of players in some areas though 🤝
