Got the Mig-17 recently and it hurts to be at 9.0 with basically a sidegraded MiG-15. Handles a bit better, but still hurts to see 10.0 jets.

I absolutely fucking hate it. Basically rolls like a pregnant overweight pig with guns that can one shot but some how manage to miss 8/10 times with ammo count that lasts as long as the time it takes for ur fist fired round to hit the ground.....what's good about monstrous energy retention if u don't have the ability to pull ur nose at them in the first place. U got to make the enemy very slow to be efficient but guess what, missiles are a thing now and 8.3 is just a trap door to 9.0-9.3.

Hey! Could you give me any pointers on how to play the mig-15? I can't find any sources online other then the wiki page which is pretty vague imo, most of the info online is all about the mig-15 bis and nothing about the standard one :D Reason i'm asking is that i just unlocked it (and its my first jet , ignoring that piece of trash called the mig-9) but i have no idea what it's strengths are over other planes. Am i supposed to dog-fight , boom and zoom , stay at high alt ? Any advice would be appreciated :D Thanks

climb because mig has an excellent climb rate, be aware of the fact that the roll rate is awful so don’t turnfight sabres. You can win them but you can get 3rd partied quite easily. So I guess you can boom and zoom and you can outenergy most of the planes in that br.
