At least on the Legacy edition WiiU, on the latest version, it is much easier to get these items. Both Zombies and Skeletons can drop these, however I’ve never seen a diamond armor piece on a mob in my world that I made the day 1.13 came out. I have 83 thousand rotten flesh and about four double chests of this type of loot. Using zombies, you can obtain all kinds of armor from boots to helmets and double enchant shovels, bows, and swords, and armor from leather to chainmail, gold, and Iron. I even have a Feather falling 8 gold boots. And plenty of double respiration, protection, unbreaking, etc. It is probably also possible to get double enchantments from zombie pigmen, but I haven’t been successful yet. Can’t obtain from fishing or enchanting. A funny quick I found is that sometimes a drowned can drop two tridents once slain. I’ve found a plethora of glitches from x-rays to bedrock in survival and infinite void fall. I was too late to upgrade my world as of Apr 2024 so I’ll just play WiiU until the End Update. I have also obtained at least 9 stacks of carrots just from my zombie spawner farm to help validate my 23 ish double chests of rotten flesh. It’s plenty easier to obtain these illegals on this version, but now it is impossible to transfer worlds to the switch unless there is a bypass somehow. I also have not modified my Wiiu in any way. I might as well be the only person playing the WiiU on a survival world this old.

I am a member of Prototech SMP (The server where Rays Wroks used to play before he got banned) These Calculations are wrong. Let me explain. Because in MC version 1.12 you can manipulate the RNG by loading chunks. You can make farms that will produce 20skeleton trap/s which means 80Skeletons/s and 80Horse/s. (On SMP we have an older version of this farm which is not as efficient but more or less usable) So the extreme years are unnecessarily large yes if one were to use the farm from Rays vid then yes but if one is looking for efficiency then only 6 months is enough to get protection 8. But all this is actually useless. CapitanSolo discovered a way to get a mix of any enchants (Multiplayer Only) using Enchanting table and Shadow items. It's actually simple, more people have a Shadow item in their inventory (Item on multiple locations at once) Then they put it in the enchanting table and then multiple people can enchant the same item. Since it is possible to manipulate the player's RNG (e.g. using math or a mod from Earthcomputer) So one can actually set the enchant e.g. Sharpness 5. This is how we got Sharpness 69, Bane of Arthropods 25 and more on Prototech If you have more questions about the farm or shadow enchat, you can ask us on the Prototech Discord server.

From what I remember, in version 1.12 they used RNG manipulation to get tons of skeleton horses to spawn. Gnembon in Scicraft always wore a prot 6 gold helmet.

On my ps3 world I have a zombie spawned xp farm and I’ve had armour pieces like, unbreaking I helmet, with unbreaking II, protection II chestplate with efficiency III and protection I. In my singleplayer world, which is roughly 7500 days old, I got 4 skeleton trap horse within 1 thunder, while I was building a church :D Also there was a snapshot in version 1.20.X, where you were able to make infinity + mending bows and weapons with sharpness and smite (+BoA). God armor too.. If you put 2 items in a grindstone, the top one had both enchantments. Just put it in and out. No lvl or xp needed.

3:09 Years back*, my school friends hosted a vanilla survival world for our group to play on whenever. It was not altered in any sort of way, it was just Normal difficulty and that was that. The main town was walled off because Skeleton Traps kept spawning. Every single night. Still to this day, we don’t know why it kept happening, we couldn’t get it to stop (other than turning it to Peaceful, but once the difficulty was back to Normal it would continue to happen). Everyone owned a bunch of skeleton horses because of it lmao (It was about 5-6 years ago by now I believe).

The odds of skeleton traps spawning were nerfed in 1.11. It used to be 5 times what it is now. There were really quite a nuisance on a 1.9 server I used to play on, blocking access from spawn to the town we'd built. Someone built a bridge above them while I got out my bow and made it my job to snipe them whenever I saw them

You can get the actual highest level of protection on an item in a 1.12 snapshot, as all item enchantments are turned into protection. Combining this with the 12w49a glitch you can calculate the rest. I actually have full protection 5 armor in my hardcore world without ever cheating. Sadly double enchants are removed from items since 1.21

I mean if you are proactive about it, you can get skeleton traps pretty reliably. During lightning storms there is a 1/100,000 chance per chunk per tick to get lighting. On hard they spawn skeleton traps 2.8125-6.75% of the time. That means every 9 hours, there will be a 0.1-1.0% chance a given chunk that is not desert and not snow spawns a skeleton horse. Set your simulation distance at 32 during thunderstorms and you should get between 3 and 30 every single storm if you play on hard.

Now, if you get 30 skeleton traps, getting to and triggering all of them within 15 minutes could be tricky. Then again, you don't need to immediately fight them all, just zoom by on Elytra or whatever and trigger them.

I actually have a double enchanted diamond hat on an old Minecraft world, I believe it was Prot III and projectile Prot IV, along with Mending, Respiration, and Aqua Affinity. I didn't get this from a skeleton rider though... (I did get it normally in survival from a mob) I believe I have a few other double enchanted items as well, the diamond hat is my favorite though for obvious reason. Super cool to finally see a video talking about a cool bug I always loved to encounter when I was younger.
