Something that almost always goes unnoticed is, despite the punch at the beginning, Goku actually goes out of his way to befriend Monaka and offers him some meat (especially since Goku loves eating and is actually sparing some). It's a nice touch and proof there's more to Goku than the fight-happy brute he usually is. Also the shot of Piccolo eating always gets me rolling. It was established Namekians just get by by drinking water.
