I think people should just learn to delete fear from their minds about Nigeria. Nigeria is saver than anywhere you can think of. The only thing you could do is have a friend so that you won’t be uneccessary charge or extorted when buying things or paying for smthing as a stranger. Because as a foreigner you are honored and respected and loved in Nigeria. People would naturally and willingly want to help you. So relax please and do not pay attention to social media cruise. Nigeria is one of the best countries you could ever think of. God bless Nigeria and Africa ❤

Very interesting travelling experience. This what happens when you pray before embarking on a distanced journey to a place you don't know before. Your experience was similar to mine. I went to Nigeria to further my studies. I got to Lagos from Sierra Leone having no one to receive me. I got thete after 6 pm. Someone advised me not to continue my journey till the marrow. Even when someone opted helping me, to say I was not scared was an understatement. But God sent me a God- fearing helper who took me to a hotel called very close to the Mohamed mutallah airport called Venus and early in the morning got me a taxi which took me directly to my school in Shagam, Illison Remo. Nigerians are kind. The horrible stories one hears about Nigeria is not so when you're in the country. They're so hospitable and caring. I love Nigeria. All to God's glory. It was very painful for me leaving Nigeria to come back home.

The "negative" public relations Nigerians/Nigeria gets from other Africans is fascinating considering the fact that Nigeria sacrificed for the re-independence of a lot of African countries. Nigeria is the only African its leader was unalived for funding liberation struggles of another African country.

You were supposed to have taken flight from Lagos to Enugu and you then take bus from Enugu to Ebonyi. I doubt if the village and cultural content you chose were the best or what your Ugandan followers wanted to see or what Nigerians who uplift content-creator channels liked to see you do. (Compare a Gambian first timer in Nigeria, called "Gano Did it") Anyway I salute your courage. Hopefully the opportunity will come again. Next time, serve it also hot.

As a Nigerian I feel we could have done better. You must repeat, this time you need to plan better. Inform more Nigerians in time. It was a short visit and trust me you didn't see anything. Exactly why we all need to plan better. So sorry for the little hiccups, it's part of traveling to a new place. Trust me the people you met that took care of you are everyday Nigerians. No big deal bcos most Nigerians are inherently good and warm people. Of course like every other nation we have a few bad eggs that tend to do stuff that are usually amplified. As soon as you mention to a Nigerian that you're a foreigner, the immediate reaction is to protect you, and make sure you're very comfortable. It's innate.
