​@@rangerwillwrong I was told this same none as a child going through abuse at the hands of my sister and being a 9 year old forced to raise a baby nephew while mom worked continuously and my sister ran the streets doing whatever she wanted, I prayed that it stopped so I can live a normal childhood.... that didn't happen until I turned 14 and was big enough to fight against her. Its sickening yall tell children to pray things away then when it doesn't work yall tell them they didn't pray enough or didn't have enough faith, it's simply mind games, I'd rather tell a child to wish on a star before playing mental gymnastics with religion making children believe they just aren't good enough.

God hears prayers but that doesn't mean He will answer them right away. Sometimes we are the impetus to our prayers being answered. You prayed for normalcy and it took 5 years for it to come to pass. Not because God didn't want to have it. But because He wanted to build faith, patience and strength in you.
