Try inform the venue/ event before. They’re usually fine with stuff like this if you let them know in advance. Then any issues you have with security you can just pull up the emails with the event. 9/10 the security is just a outside company and some can be horrible. Glad they were good to you

i feel like situations like these, when you order tickets to events they should include a section for “special notes” and have a doctors note just so other people don’t mess with the system for those who really need it idk if this is a good idea but just a suggestion

I think it's a good suggestion, but I think that uploading a more permanent form of disability/allergy ID would be better. Kind of a pain to have to wait for a doctor's note to get tickets, especially if your doctor takes forever.

@@Fairygobletyeah, having a government ID that identifies your status could be helpful for all venues to immediately recognize. It should be akin to a physical disability placard or need to bring in oxygen or syringes. Exceptions to the rules always exist and protecting them with policy while having informed & discerning employees can help everyone. My sister is disabled and she used to be able to use a pass at Disney to help us navigate the park but people would fake disabilities and abuse the privilege so it ended. Less visibly apparent differences can be hard for the public to accommodate unfortunately.

As someone also with a ton of allergies, I get this, haha! I always feel like I burden other people just because I cant eat the same foods as them (eat what they made, ask a bunch of questions at a restaurant, limited eating options, etc). Thanks for showing this! 😄

My teenaged daughter feels this way too. At family events Everyone always asks why she isn’t eating and then they try to find stuff that she CAN eat to fix her and it’s awkward even with family so she just eats before we go places now and says “ I JUST ate but thank you”. Lol

I saw a post awhile ago from a vegan that's gluten free and they said they just brought their own food and snacks when they went somewhere, since they usually cant eat anything someone has. The other party doesn't feel some type of way that they couldn't accommodate and you get to be present for events. Idk just wanted to pass that along. ✌

Why westerners have so many allergies, like i was allergic to shellfish, egg, dust, grass, and nuts when i was a child, but my doctor said to just eat it at small amount and take a medicine till there's an reaction and go practice swimming for my asthma. Now i ate everything without worries, go every where, and clean my own room.

My mom has intolerances for like 40 things as well like sunflower oil, milk, eggs, broccoli and grain. It’s very inconvenient especially when eating out. But most of the problems were caused by the doctor who said she needed to eat less snacks and more things like bread. She kept on gaining weight and having problems on the toilet. Glad someone is still positive at least.
