The energy here is incredible, but someone really ought to have pulled Star Crunch aside before that first number and asked him to tune up!! No complaints, though … and for the rest of the set they seem to have worked the issue out. I saw them live at the Metro for their 2011 reunion tour, and I hope they keep reuniting in decades to come: surf rock is ETERNAL!!

Also Birdstuff says explicitly that this show is dedicated to Coco because he gained 400 pounds and couldn't play (I think he was home with his family). I think Birdstuff took a break from the band for a while.

Yet the fact remains, none of the disgruntled former Mosrite employees who think they can simply copy and paste their limited experience know the Mosrite family secret of the pickup windings. So said Dana Moseley to me when I went to Front Porch Music and met her myself in person. I can just hear the lack of sustain being sucked into a black hole. I was blessed to play a Hallmark and a Mosrite, Teisco and more- I tell you all, no guitar compares to a Mosrite.
