What life action did that's unforgivable is making Light a normal guy. Light is a handsome, successful, model student. He's on top of the food chain, he's a guy you would have heard studying at MIT, dating a fashion model, and his dad is a police chief. He has no trauma, he has not been bullied, he has girls swooning over him, and he's a millionaire. That's the main point of his character. His lack of hardship and his perfect life making him unable to sympathise with people who aren't like him. When he see people making mistakes he wouldn't have done. He deem those actions 'stupid' without trying to understand that his intellect is also probably a production of his circumstances growing up. Something that not many share with him. His superiority in almost any aspects of his life feed into his god complex and allowing him to see himself as 'the only one' who can right the world's wrong. Despite himself never experienced those 'hardship' he swears to get rid of. He convinced himself that he doesn't kill for spite or pleasure. In reality he's just a kid who never experienced the world beyond his own boundary. A victim of superiority complex and warped sense of mortality. Death Note story is just a 'game' to him.

Light preying on her need to have purpose and value given that her fiance is dead...what a manipulating madman. It's the first real example of Light not just acting for the sake of justice, but thoroughly enjoying the struggle and victory at the end, even gloating asking if she wants to talk to his dad. His pride/ego is his greatest fault.

I think the reason Ryuk laughed so hard in Red was because that was the moment light had convinced her and Ryuk saw her lifetotal go to a countdown. Also Naiomi was the first “innocent” person light killed. Raye pen burn was innocent but light made him into a murderer by making him kill all the other FBI agents before light killed him.

AKA Raye was still innocent. He didn't even know what he was doing, in a court he may be found guilty of manslaughter, but his sentence wouldn't be death most likely like Light wanted for him. Calling Raye "guilty" in this sense is pretty odd.

It's been a while since I've seen it, so I had to look it up, but I think this is untrue... "With Shinigami Eyes, the lifespan of a human is visible as written numbers floating above the human's head, as well as the human's name. This lifespan will, however, not change in appearance if altered by use of a Death Note in the human world and will always show the human's primary lifespan". Although it's only mentioned briefly, from what I remember, the Shinigami kill people and "steal" their remaining lifespan to add to their own. This means that in order for the Shinigami to know how much lifespan they're stealing, the number has to show how much lifespan they would have had, without using the Death Note, otherwise they wouldn't know how much they're actually stealing. Hope that makes sense. I think Ryuk is just laughing cause he realizes in that moment, Light won.

The live action Netflix movie (2017) was nearly a completely different plotline, bearing almost no resemblance to the anime at all, it wasn't very good. However, there was a live action TV adaptation made in 2015 that was extremely good, and personally I think it covered the transition into the second main arc, with Near and Mello, much better than even the anime does. There was also a series of 3 live action movies made in 2006-2008 ("Death Note (2006)", "Death Note: The Last Name", and "Death Note: L Change the World") that were also much better than Netflix's version. And there was a 4th live action movie that was a bit of a spinoff (Death Note: Light Up the New World) that takes place after the anime ends, which was not quite as good but I'd still say better than Netflix's. If you're looking for a live action version, I'd highly recommend the 2015 TV adaptation, it's done so much better.

No. Togashi, who create HxH didn't get inspiration from Dragon Quest. But he really loves playing the game. Whenever there's a new Dragon Quest game, HxH manga mysteriously always go on hiatus for several months, even years. In recent years he also likes playing Elden Ring, and no new HxH chapter released before he finished the game. HxH was released since March 1998, but there's more time where the manga was on hiatus than not. That's why this series called Hiatus x Hiatus 🤣
