I think the Eagles will win the division and that means the Cowboys will have to compete with the Bucs, Packers, Seahawks, Rams, and Bears for the last three spots. Most of those teams have easier schedules. And if you break down the Cowboy's performance the past few years based on performance against good teams, they're mid at best. Tolbert will be better than gallup last year, he stunk, so that will be a step up. Ceedee, Cooks, Tolbert, Ferg is a good recieving room bruh. The linebacker room is VASTLY improved, we had a 20 pound safety at LB last year, Jordan Love even said they knew we were doing dumb shit like that and they were going to exploit it. Kendricks, Overshown, Maris is a huge improvement there. Phillips is AS GOOD if not better than Hankens. Having lost travis frederick who was top class to career ending injury, biadasz was a great fill and offered decent protection. What dallas fans were less than happy about with Biadasz was his ineffective blocking for the RB. Theres no way Dallas could pay him what Washington have and he was the weak link in a 4 All Pro OL. Tyron is gone but he and Zach are likely HOF bound. Tyler came through last year to really show what he was Ist rd pick for and Terence Steele pre injury was excellent. Hopefully Steele is allowed to play as he did pre injury as apparently some technique changes were tried last year and it never clicked. Im more worried about the backfield. Our LB and safety combo nonsense never worked when the clutch came, and after losing LVE again an early career ending neck isssue couldnt be resolved and im still not sure how the secondary will work out even with Diggs back.

It will also be interesting to see if they don’t start Tyler Guyton and take the chance like they had to with Tyler Smith. Cowboys potentially have a really good young O line if their two rookies play well. Depth at DE and DT is concerning but I think Zimmer will make the defense even better. They actually look good at linebacker now. Kendricks was a crucial move this offseason. All that being said they will lose in the playoffs again if they make it.

if you have watched the past 9 seasons of NFL "football" and have "zero concerns" about Prescott, you are not much of an analyst. Dallas should be so concerned about him that they should have bet the farm on replacements this offseason. He is holding them back. Period.

The Cowboys have had regular season success, but do you think this team can finally break through in the playoffs? Or is another divisional round exit inevitable?
@roscoeco2 ай бұрын
Good video sir. I agree that they have to prove a lot in the playoffs. They haven’t yet. But, If you watch tape against GB, they lost that game because the defense was terrible. The offense was slow to start but they never had a chance because Quinn got exposed. Zimmer won’t be as stagnant in his scheme and I think that will result in less boom or bust from the D. Statistically I think the offense will be a little worse but not by much and the defense will be a top 3 unit. I think their WR core is better this year than last. Zeke is not going to be RB1. Running back is worse but the line may be better at run blocking than they were. Marquise Bell is playing 3rd string safety/dime not LB this year. Overshown Kendricks and Clark will be the LBs. All that to say, my optimism doesn’t exist until they show me. Never been one to think it’s ‘their year’ but last year was a super low point. They had a great path to the championship game Ave lose to SF and they couldn’t get it done

I’m a Cowboys fan and seriously don’t know what we’re doing. At best I think we could squeeze in as the 6th or 7th seed but if you told me we missed the playoffs I wouldn’t be shocked.

Last year (2023), I thought Dallas overperformed. The defense had glaring weaknesses (poor inside rush defense). So unless the offense got off to a hot start, the defense would not match up well. The offense also had a weak rushing attack with poor short yardage ability. In the playoffs, when they did not get out in front of GB, all their weaknesses were exposed. This year it is hard to evaluate how well they will perform. They have a new DC and knowing how well the young talent will perform through a long schedule is not easy to determine. It will be fun to see how it all transpires.

They playing out Daks contract , they have built the Oline again. What’s a better way of welcoming Trey lance , with a new revamped offensive line . Possibly sign ceedee and parsons to big deals , also cause they will have cap space for it. The era of Trey lance is soon to come , be ready for it & Jerry has been slowing pointing towards this & if we lose with lance , we’ll up getting a top 5 QB sometime in the future. (My opinion)

The vibe at the beginning, during, and end of the Green Bay game last year left a sour ass taste in my mouth. Players arguing with each other, coaches looking lifeless, just no heart in general.

The 2023 version of the Dallas Cowboys reminded me of the 1968 Cowboys - a strong regular season and a bad performance in the playoffs and first round exit. Based on the video, the Cowboys do not seem to have improved. Although I cannot see the Philadelphia Eagles winning the Super Bowl, that team seems superior to Dallas especially at the quarterback position. Until Jerry Jones sells the team, the Cowboys are not winning another Super Bowl.

I'm not a Cowboy fan but honestly, they've been fielding good teams for a long time now. It's just there's clearly a hump they need to get over to get further into the playoffs, never mind the Super Bowl. I still say Dak is a good QB, one of the better ones in the league. He's no Mahomes, and nobody else is in the league. Outside Mahomes the QB outlook is quite bleak. That said, I expected the playoff loss to the Packers would galvanize Jerry Jones to shake things up and get serious. Something had to change. But apparently I didn't know Jerry Jones well enough it seems.

Good vid. But I think your logic on Guyton is flawed. If he earned that spot you don’t not play him because of who’s on the other side. Thera gonna be monsters every week…anybody who ever played football would wanna guard the best guy. Iron sharpens iron

Dallas struggles with "smash mouth" teams, that run the ball well, losing to Arizona, SF, Buffalo, and GB. They lost to Philly and Miami too, but these were close games, and neither of them fit that smash mouth mold.

Suck it, we have cap and cornerstones not to mention two generational rookies on O line and a future star in Kneeland. If this year is a disaster we’ll have shedeur on a rookie deal and end the Dak and McCarthy regime. I’m happy as a Cowboys fan 🤷🏾♂️

the problem isn't the players or coaches. The problem is the owner. I'm not complaining, but Jerry needs to sell to an owner who doesn't meddle and they'll get back to what their fans expect.

@bradleyalthaus2 ай бұрын
@@kobetaylor1288 actually that was the only area we got better in. guyton looks like a future all pro. we already know what zack and tyler are, and we drafted beebe to be zacks replacement, and potentially play center. we won't surprise people though. 9-8 at best. no backs that are good in the backfield. no dt that can shut down the run, or a good off ball LB at that. no receiver depth. and a qb who is very bad against comp. not too mention dallas plays a lot of comp this year. ive got about 10 losses that im counting, at best we win 2 of them. this year will implode, and if we make it to week 1 without paying dak we might have a chance in the future.

I’ll always love the Cowboys but I lost any championship hope after the 2nd loss to the 49ers in the playoffs. The team just isn’t good enough. It’s time to blow it up and rebuild but due to Jerry’s age he won’t do that.

Unless you guys are living under a rock,the cowboys have definitely made some moves this offseason. Just not at the beginning. If you guys actually listen to cowboys news, you’d know they’ve made lots of trades, signed a bunch of players, and are currently working with on contract extensions with their top players. So I actually have high hopes for this season, especially with the easy schedule they have. They will make a playoff appearance but whether or not they win is in the future, and we will see.
