I have a signed Jaden Ivey jersey framed in my room, It was signed at a random Purdue football game that Jaden was speaking at I think in 2023. I met this man in person and in real life. He was the most humble and genuine young man I’ve ever met. I say this but I’m only (21). Jaden is a year older than me, regardless… This dude is the real deal. He is SPECIAL. It makes me sick knowing he isn’t getting the playing time he deserves. But this man is SPECIAL. he is a FREAK of athleticism it only can get utilized if the higher coaching staff utilizes him. Which Monty didn’t. I know Jaden will prosper one day eventually, God will put him into a position where he has no other option but Suceed. This man is the real deal. TRUST…. JADEN GENUINELY IS THAT GUY AND CAN BE BETTER THEN CUNNINGHAM. I PROMISE YOU. JADEN IS THE REAL DEAL. YOU BEST BELIVE.

I’d like for Cade to lean how to keep the defense honest with disguising the intention with his passes a bit more. He does it from time to time, but players of his archetype like Luka do this well. At 7:11, he looks at Ivey way too early when he should’ve held that help defender with his eyes until the last moment.

Kinda 180 disagree with the statement "As much as I like Cade, he doesn't do a great job of getting downhill and initiating contact at the rim and drawing double teams for his teammates". I actually think Cade is much better at this, but I sorta get it too. Ivey gets almost past his first man always, but settles super quick. Cade is better at forcing his way but doesn't quite have the finish timing and steps down. Either way no chance Ivey draws doubles more. I also think Ivey operates awesome off chaos and isn't very good decisions vs a set D.

Where you stated Cade doesn't get to the rim as much as you like, it's because he is good with the mid range shot. He knows when he has space to pull up and doesn't need to go to the rim as much. Cade doesn't use speed to get past his defender, but is more cunning with hesitations and stop and goes. This is what I think Ivy is doing more to, but Ivy will go to the rim more also. He has a good three level scoring ability, which is being showcased more. For them being able to be on the floor together, Ivy will give another good catch and shoot option when Cade gets past his first defender and help drops from the three point line. It will be good to see what happens this year with the addition of Tobias's scoring ability and if it helps to open up more for Ivy too.

They're not making the playoffs: it's still a very bad roster, and they're probably tanking.
@urbaindelva78692 ай бұрын
@@scottwickett1273Tanking? They've been rebuilding for the last 6 years with almost no progress, at least team-wise. The front office hired some new management who added/re-signed 4 quality 3pt shooters to improve the spacing around their best player(s). They hired a new coach after their last one blatantly wasted a year where they could've shown some progress. Their front office wouldn't have made all of those decisions if they were trying to tank. And why would they tank NOW when they've been bottom feeders for the last 6 years? Who tanks after a 14-win season? That makes no sense.
@scottwickett12732 ай бұрын
@@urbaindelva7869 If they WEREN'T tanking, they would have addressed backup point guard and rim protection in some manner, and they haven't done either one of those things. They still don't have enough talent to ever become a competitive team, and the new GM seems to be aware of that fact. I'm just following the breadcrumbs here: they need to keep tanking specifically because everything they've done for the last six years (culminating in last year's 14-68 record) has failed disastrously!
