DUMMY RAM IS SUCH A GOOD IDEA! I love the way 4 sticks look over 2, and the only way to really solve that was to either buy more sticks or lower the capacity and get more sticks. Do they make dummy sticks for other ram or is it just that brand?

As an owner of the lancool ii mesh, really great to see the various quality of life improvments made in this iteration. Would you recommend going for this or a fractal torrent rgb, as an upgrade for a lancool ii mesh housing a 5950x+3090fe combo? Airflow/temps/thermals wise?

@@lagpi According to Lian Li's video on the Lancool 3 (it's part of their digital expo video a while back) it can fit a 420 on top, a 360 on the front, and a 360 on the power supply shroud.

TIP: buy the lancool 3 dust filter kit in white and you can cover the view into the bottom area without using cardboard whilst keeping the same airflow :)

Love the PC builds Ed! I agree that the bottom PSU shroud needs to have a better solution for airflow. Ventilation from the bottom of the case would have been fine as that's what the O11 Dynamic uses.

Sick build man! Btw, there should be a connector on the hub for the stock case fans that can connect to an ARGB header on the motherboard. Then you hold down the RGB button on the front I/O for about 3 seconds to get the hub to switch to mobo control. Cheers!

Hands down this is one of the greatest case if not the best. I dig the mesh on the lower part of side panels and a really cool unique way to open them. The flexibility in this case is next level. I'd actually pick this rather than the famous 011 dynamic.

Again, another great pc build Ed It came out great. I really like the crystal look on the Game Rock 3080 it looks so cool and blends with any color scheme it seems. Also its kinda crazy how you came up with such a quick fix for the gpu kit lol.

Here’s something that wasn’t mentioned in this video!! You can actually swap the front IO to the bottom of the front panel. Along with the Lian Li branding on it, it can swap to the other end as well so it isn’t upside down! This also works if you do end up having to run anything from the front IO you can plug it in and run any wires or cables underneath the case and to the back so you won’t have hideous cables sticking out the front of your case and dangling around.

You won't be saying mechanical hard drives are obsolete when you try to recover data from an SSD! Overall, I would still pick the CORSAIR iCUE 7000X RGB over the Lancool III as the 7000X has a bit more room in the length, width, and height.

Wow, what a beautiful pc build, that gpu is awesome looking!...great job!!! I love the lian li products, I just built a 12900k pc in a white lian li 011d xl with 10 sl 120 fans and the V2 strimers. Used an asus rog strix z690e gaming wifi with corsair dom plat 64 gb ddr5 ram. Used an evga ftw3 3080ti and an msi meg coreliquid S360 AIO and 2 2tb firecuda 530 nvme ssd's and powered it with an evga supernova 1000W P2 psu. Just finished it and man it looks nice when it's all lit up. Thanks for sharing!

This was a dope build I can’t wait to build my own one day I been practicing on my HP Envy desktop I swapped out the power supply, upgraded the nvme SSD, added a low end low profile graphics card, added 3 2.5 SSD I even took out the optical drive and used that sata port for another 2.5 SSD. In your unboxing video on July 1, when you dropped that CPU, at 26:47 you had the sticker facing right at the camera. I thought it was weird when I saw it, thinking the same thing you did on why they would put a sticker there. Glad you were able to figure it out.

The front lights should be controllable via the argb cable that can be plugged into the motherboard, so there is some control.

Companies need to take note- there’s no shot you’re still putting out fans that have 2 cables coming off each fan! There’s many ways to daisy chain fans together, pick one! Corsair you’re up first!

When I built my first PC, I used Ed's CD key, and it was so easy. Literally selected windows 10 pro, and entered in TS20 code and bought it for near $14. Simple as that, literally saving you $150 or so

The silver looks good, never been a fan of vertical GPU mounts though. Somthing about covering the PCIE slots deeply bothers me. I have a all silver build at home. Silver motherbord, ram, gpu, and cpu cooler. 11400f, asus prime b560m ac, silver xpg 3200mhz 32 gigs and my old evga 1070 sc. If only I could find a silver or white micro ATX case that looks good, isint thin garbage and has quality airflow. That would be ideal but micro ATX is on life suport and very expensive here in canada due to scarcity lol. Keep up the great content.

Literally the most true thing I have heard all week... that everyone and their mother is using the 011 dynamic. In my honest opinion the case should either be discontinued or like double the price because right now pc building has hit a massive standstill with everyone using that case over and over. We need some new original cases similar to this to take its place.

I just built my PC the other night in the Lian Li Lancool 3! But I don't like the look of my air cooler, i regret not going AIO like I originally wanted I was scared I'd screw it up! Now that I'm more comfortable with my PC and the workings of it (and love building/adding parts) my DeepCool LT720 360mm AIO is coming tomorrow - I can't wait to upgrade the air cooler!!

thank you for pointing out the bottom mesh panel thingy. i hate those too and wish they provide solid replacement. the original panel design from the original lancool 2 was fine. but since literally only 1 youtuber complaint about it they change the whole thing, made it tacky and missing the whole point of power supply basement

you can match the front fans with others, press m until it turn white, then control through motherboard

Just built mine a couple weeks ago and wouldn’t post. Long story short, faulty PSU🙄. Message to all, test build outside of case before installing. Nothing is more discouraging then building your pc with clean cable management just for it to not post then you’re taking it apart.
