Okigwe is the third largest city in imo state, Nigeria. This is the most underdeveloped city in the eastern region of Nigeria. It is formally known for its high number of industries and companies. Some building materials are gotten from this geographical area and other resources as well.

Well what igbos build in lagos or Abuja or north is not a real development rather igbos build in lagos and Abuja and other places is where they will stay or live and do their business because those places and the people or tribe that owns it are still primitive and poor backwardnes, now if I may ask you can you show the world any place in lagos or Abuja or Nigeria as a whole developed like south Africa capital alone in every thing the answer is big NO now if igbo biafra tribe want to developed their own land states like south Africa capital alone Nigeria government will not let it happen for example igbo land have coal and gas to supply electricity 247 Nigeria government block it this is the frist real development any developed countries start with that make them different from other countries of the world so copy western world village houses build in lagos is not a real development again how is lagos VI today it is a village houses

Okigwe used to be a big city. The old road from Enugu passed through Okigwe before construction of expressway.it was colonial administrative headquarters. & has beautiful spring waterfall.

It is an interesting region to visit as it has an adventurous environments like rocky nature, hills, mountains and a lot . Yea, the roads you see is better now but most of the interior roads lacks proper attention. I think you need to visit someday. Thanks for watching 🙏

You’re right. Honestly, we need to do better as a people. The state of Makoko in Lagos is worse than okigwe but no administration has stopped tourists visiting the area. I think development is collective responsibility. NGOs can as well support the administration in terms developments. I really appreciate your support 🙏

Bro, Our people are so lazy. The land is there, green ad beautiful but our people lack organisation. Common trees, dem no fit plant. Instead you have shanties on both sides of the road to greet fist time visitors to the place while the local authorities do nothing. There was an old song mocking the leaders/rulers of Okigwe and blaming them for the place lagging behind in development and that song still rings true. Anyway you failed to mention that the city used to have an international airport at Uturu used during the Biafran days.
